2016 TIMEZERO RANGE OF PRODUCTS
The past 7 years have seen many changes and with the addition of Nobeltec, we now proudly boast 3
companies in MaxSea, Nobeltec and MapMedia, offering an array of product ranges to suit every need.
Our recent product launches have seen two new additions in the iPad TZ App and TZ Coastal Monitoring.
The launch of our iPad TZ App allowed for thousands of new users worldwide to access our marine
navigation software. TZ Coastal Monitoring is a highly innovative software for the growing market of
coastal and port surveillance.
Since 2007, all of the products that we offer are part of the umbrella brand of TIMEZERO Technology.
2016 stands as a watershed year in the history of our group. The global economic environment meant
that we would need to standardize our brands and product ranges. We have decided to keep only the
TIMEZERO brand name in order to distinguish our products under one family brand.
To meet unique national requirements, we decided to return to offering a full range of modular products.

TZ NAVIGATOR
TZ NAVIGATOR will now be the unique and only product available to recreational boaters (meaning
everyone apart from the professional users). The following products will now all be joined into one
product:
- Nobeltec TZ Odyssey
- Nobeltec TZ Trident
- Nobeltec TZ Racing
- Nobeltec TZ Deluxe
- MaxSea TZ Navigator
- MaxSea TZ Explorer
- MaxSea TZ Racing
- MaxSea TZ Deluxe
TZ NAVIGATOR v3 will benefit from a completely new user interface in order to create a user friendly
interaction for touchscreen. The official release is set for April 2016.
TZ NAVIGATOR v3 is the entry level product for the v3 TIMEZERO technology. The product is designed
for both recreational sailing and motor boat users. Apart from its revolutionary 3D charts, TZ NAVIGATOR
includes the features below that have made the product such a success:
- Routes
- Waypoints
- Worldwide Tides
- Weather Forecast Module
- AIS/ARPA Module
The TIMEZERO chart zones delivered with the product include a Raster or Vector chart zone + 3D data +
Photos in standard resolution.
The options available for TZ NAVIGATOR are the following:
- Furuno Radar Module: Display and control of radars DRS and FAR within TZ Navigator
- Furuno Sounder Module: Display and control of Furuno sounders via Ethernet within
TZ Navigator
- Routing Module: Calculate the optimal route taking into account the polars to provide the
different speeds of the sailing boat for each angle and wind speed and the weather forecast (wind,
waves, currents)
TZ NAVIGATOR includes two installations, which effectively allows users to install the program across two
different PCs, and free NOAA Raster and Vector charts (including 3D and Satellite Photos).

At the time of writing this document, it is too early to introduce in detail all the future features of TZ
NAVIGATOR v3 that will be released in April 2016.
A new user interface
We decided to rebuild our user interface in order to offer more comfort to our users using touchscreens.
As more and more PCs are shipped with this type of screens and it seemed essential to move towards
100% touchscreen use.
It will obviously still be possible to use our software using a mouse.
Professional functions accessible to sailors
Some of the new professional functions will be made available to all our customers. This is the case of the
extended route management and security cone.
This will ensure the safety of a route during its creation: a color display (green / red) can instantly tell if
the depth is sufficient to sail in this specific area.
An automatic calculator will also get information about the best time of departure or arrival based on
currents and tides.
A safety cone will also be shown continuously in front of the boat icon and automatically trigger an alarm
if an obstacle or a shoal is inside.

TIMEZERO and the CLOUD
We recently integrated the “SHARE " feature in our product TZ App for iPad. This feature allows users to
share their position but also receive the position of their "friends" on the map.
The positions are shared only with the people you have accepted the invitation. You can manage your
friends list directly from our App or from a dedicated website.
The positions can be seen on other platforms besides the iPad. Your friends must first create a "My
TimeZero” account. The positions are then available from a standard web page.
This feature will be available in TZ NAVIGATOR v3. It represents the first step of the creation of our CLOUD
infrastructure.
In the future, we plan to develop new CLOUD functions for all of our platforms (Chart Update, Chart data
sharing, High resolution Weather forecast, etc.).
Sharing routes and waypoints from different platforms will not be available in TZ Navigator v3. However,
we are working on its implementation for the end of 2016.

TZ PROFESSIONAL will now be the unique and only product available to professional users (meaning
everyone apart from the recreational users). The following products will now all be joined into one product:
- Nobeltec TZ CATCH
- MaxSea TZ ECS
- MaxSea TZ PLOT
The official release of TZ PROFESSIONAL v3 is set for January 2016.

TZ PROFESSIONAL is provided with one token, so it allows you to install the software only on one pc,
and free NOAA Raster and Vector charts (including 3D and Satellite Photos).

What’s new for commercial fishing?
New PBG Module
The latest version of the PBG module will allow you to create charts of the seafloor even clearer and more
realistic. The 2D and 3D imaging will now have customizable color coding scales which will allow for
instantaneous precision research. The new 3D view will make visualization of data even more simple and
intuitive.
New profile window, a remarkable new tool!
Instantaneously display a point to point depth profile window. This 2D view will allow you to identify the
depth variations with unequalled precision (rocks, shipwrecks, etc.).
Fishing Workspace
A workspace exclusively dedicated for professional fishermen will allow for personalization of 2D/3D so
accessing information that is most pertinent is shown first.

What’s new for the workboats?
Compatibility with S57/S63 charts
Keeping up to date charts is an essential element to ensure the safety of all those at sea. TZ Professional
is now compatible with the official S57/S63 formats.
The official S57/S63 charts are updated every week. These maps respect the S52 standard developed by
the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The iconography offers a simplified display in order to
improve the readability of the marine charts on screens.
New Route Management
Route Planning is of the utmost importance for all professions at sea.
Our new technology assures the security of a route upon creation: Through color codes (green/red) it is
instantaneously possible to know if the depth is sufficient for the safe passing of your boat.
An automatic route wizard will provide you with information regarding to the optimal departure and arrival
time, taking into account tides and currents.

New AIS features
The configuration of AIS can sometimes prove to be complex. Our new AIS module allows for complete
configuration of all information directly within TZ Professional (Status, Destination, etc.).
Furthermore, it is now possible to send AIS text messages from TZ Professional. This system will allow for
simplified communication, free and individual with all boats which are equipped with AIS.
