Our History
For the past 9 years (MTECI ) Marine Telecoms Energy Corporation International has evolved from a group of companies that has now merged into one corporation, in the past 9 years this group of companies was constructing and erecting several telecommunication towers ,fiber optics and had staff doing rope access maintenance and inspections in the offshore and industrial sectors for multiple clients internationally (South Africa, Tanzania, Congo, Nigeria, Angola, Ghana, Brazil, Middle East, Qatar, Mozambique and Namibia. We are now growing to become a leader in full turn key projects in the industrial and offshore, Marine Telecoms and Energy industries worldwide.
(MTECI) Marine Telecoms Energy Corporation International African footprint has been enlarged with offices in South Africa. Cape Town, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein and Durban International, Congo, Nigeria, Angola, Middle East and Qatar and others in partnership. With these strategic locations, (MTECI) Marine Telecoms Energy Corporation International is capable of maintaining customer satisfaction with many existing clients in these areas, but also to mobilize skilled crews anywhere in the world as needed.
(MTECI) Marine Telecoms Energy Corporation International firmly believes in Nationalization in countries that they operate in. The Nationalization process has been made easier with (MTECI) Marine Telecoms Energy Corporation International sister companies, Heightec Engineering, Ivj Rigging Telecoms Engineering and (RAMAI) Rope Access Maintenance and Inspections. This allow for training and job creation internationally. The aim is to establish local training venues and business opportunities in each province and country and also to integrate local skills with (MTECI) Marine Telecoms Energy Corporation International existing experienced labour, which will ensure clients to have cost effective but experienced crews in each of their respective countries and provinces.

Commitment to the implementation of supporting managerial and business operational systems is essential to

(MTECI ) Marine Telecoms Energy Corporation International Pty Ltd believes in the concept of client and

maintained in line with the spirit of the policy, will be set, determined and monitored at Management Review.

Izak Janse van Vuuren – Managing Director
Izak Janse van Vuuren has been involved with the running of Telecommunications & Rope Access Companies in South Africa and the United Arab Emirates and has 8 years experience in this field. He is responsible for the Business Development of the company internationally and promoting new innovative techniques to working effectively in the Telecommunications and Rope Access industry, which in turn saves the Telecommunications as well as the Oil and Gas industry time and money.
He has been active in developing and training personnel to work in elevated environments. Izak has
extensive project management experience and is a leader in this field. As a renowned Rope Access
IRATA Level 3 specialist, he brings with him a wealth of top quality workmanship and project leadership.
Dirk van Der Nest -Managing Director
Dirk Van Der Nest has been involved with managing and running of Telecommunications and Civil Companies in Africa and brings with him 26 years of experience in this fields. He is responsible for the Managing of all Civil And Telecoms Projects For the company internationally.
He has been active in Telkom projects and training personnel to work in the telecommunications
environments. Dirk has extensive project management experience and is a leader in his fields. As a
renowned Telecommunications specialist, he brings with him a wealth of top quality workmanship and
project leadership.
Ian Goudie – Operations Manager
Ian Goudie has been involved in the construction industry since 1994, working on residential and
industrial sites. He has spent 7 years working in the UK as the senior site manager on various large sites
in excess of 10 million pounds.
He returned to South Africa in 2009 and returned to the rope access industry where he was involved
with ensuring all local contracts were done in the most profitable way, according to Irata and ISO
standards. He was responsible for the compilation and submission of local and international tenders.

Juan Vester- EHSERQ Manager outsource
Juan Vester has been actively involved in the Telecommunications and Rope Access industry for the past
7 years. She has experience in all HSE for Rope Access, working at heights and telecommunications civil
on site Construction, from creating HSE files for site specific to on site safety according to required
standards.

to the International Standards. We work in accordance to various international and local Marine, Energy, Rope
access, Rigging and Telecommunications standards. Our QHSE department is continually undergoing internal
audits to look for ongoing improvements in (MTECI) Marine Telecoms Energy Corporation International.
Training and Development (MTECI) Marine Telecoms Energy Corporation International is committed to employee participation and
development. All site personnel undergo stringent training and are certified to the best comparable standards.
Internal audits are carried out and ongoing training is a high priority in our potentially dangerous work
environment.
Nationalisation (MTECI) Marine Telecoms Energy Corporation International firmly believe in Nationalisation in other countries, we believe in creating new work opportunities and skill development programs for nationals in other countries and giving them opportunity to grow in themselves. HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
(MTECI) Marine Telecoms Energy Corporation International believes that responsible management of health and safety
concerns is an integral part of its business ethic.
Through strategic management of health and safety, commitment to our mission, vision and values, and by a culture of
health and safety awareness and responsibility, we strive to:
Apply sound health and safety management principles and operating practices.
Protect health and promote safety of personnel, Clients and community.
Be alert to Client’s needs, technological advancements, and socio-economic priorities.
Lessen the hazards and potential hazards in our business to a zero.
Minimize any detrimental impact our business might have on society.
OUR POLICY IN THIS REGARD IS THEREFORE TO:
1) Provide a safe and healthy working environment for the wellbeing of our employees and their families, through staff
participation and ownership of health and safety responsibilities.
2) Ensure that the health and safety of the public and neighbouring communities is not compromised by our operations.
3) Meet corporate requirements by complying with health and safety laws and regulations, conducting business according to
recognised standard for the Rope Access industry, and committing the necessary resources.
4) Build and maintain a constructive relationship with regulatory authorities, meet all operating permit and license
obligations, and provide prompt advice on relevant issues.
5) Commit ourselves to sub-contractor health and safety during their tenure with us, and to enforce standards and
procedures laid down by us as a minimum code of conduct for sub-contractors and third parties.
TO ACHIEVE THESE OBJECTIVES, WE UNDERTAKE TO:
1) Motivate, educate and train employees to assume personal ownership of health and safety issues, and in this way to
accept the implications of their actions on health and safety.
2) Endeavour to keep the public informed about our operations through timeouts communications.
3) Focus on the application of appropriate health and safety standards, including fire protection, good operating practices and
sound management principles, to ensure that all possible measures are taken to minimize losses and avoid accidents.
4) Promote health and safety awareness among sub-contractors and to reinforce responsible behaviour and practices that
should be followed when performing work for us and (MTECI ) Marine Telecoms Energy Corporation International to our
clients.
5) Enlist the commitment of all staff to comply with the Act and Regulations and to manage and counter the hazards of our
business through well practiced health and safety programs.
6) Make sub-contractors aware of their obligations regarding education and training in health and safety matters, supporting
their efforts where appropriate.
7) Co-operate actively with professional bodies in formulating health and safety standards, with the intent of making these
realistic while achieving a fair balance between health and safety priorities and economic realities.

COMPANY HEALTH AND SAFETY RULES
COMPANY EMPLOYEES SHALL:
1) TAKE REASONABLE CARE of their own health and safety and that of other persons who may be affected by their
actions.
2) CO-OPERATE WITH MANAGEMENT in order for them to comply with the requirements of the Occupational
Health and Safety Act;
3) CARRY OUT LAWFUL ORDERS AND OBEY HEALTH AND SAFETY RULES and procedures laid down by management
or other authorised persons;
4) REPORT ANY UNSAFE OR UNHEALTHY SITUATION to their supervisor or a Health and Safety Representative who
shall report it for them;
5) REPORT ANY ACCIDENT/INCIDENT which may affect their health, or has caused them injury, to their supervisor
or Health and Safety Representative as soon as possible but not later than the end of the shift;
6) NOT TAMPER OR MISUSE ANY HEALTH AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT installed or provided by management;
7) NOT FAIL TO USE ANY HEALTH AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT provided by Management;
8) NOT WILFULLY OR RECKLESSLY DO ANYTHING which threatens the health or safety of any person;
9) NOT REPORT ON DUTY UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR OR ANY OTHER SUBSTANCE having a
narcotic effect;
10) NOT CONTRAVENE ANY LAW for the protection of the health of employees or for the prevention of accidents,
if the contravention was committed will fully or with a reckless disregard for the provisions of the law;
11) NOT OPERATE OR ATTEMPT TO OPERATE any machinery or equipment outside their scope of authority.
WARNING !!
1) If an employee does not comply with the Act or Company Regulations he/she may be prosecuted and contract
will be terminated instantly without any warning .
2) If you do not carry out your duties in terms of the O.H.S. Act and this result in an accident, you may be sued for
damages in a court of law.
