PERSONAL:Gary Martin Allenson...Born February 4, 1955 in Culver City, California...Graduated from Arizona State University, where he led the Sun Devils to the College World Series in 1975 and 1976...Nicknamed “Muggsy.”

MANAGERIAL CAREER:• Entering his 22nd season as a minor league manager and

his third as manager of the Buff alo Bisons.• Was named the 19th manager in the Bisons modern era on

January 13, 2014.• Had a 68-76 record in 2015 in his 2nd season with the

Herd...Club fi nished 3rd in IL North division and in Top 5 in IL in hitting (T3rd, .260) and pitching (5th, 3.32 ERA).

• Bisons went 77-66 in fi rst season under Allenson in 2014...Was 4th best record in IL (3rd in IL North)...Club sent franchise records for players (73) and roster moves (239).

• Has a 1,245-1,362 record as a minor league manager since 1987 (.478 winning pct.).

• Joined Blue Jays organization in 2013 as the manager for the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats...Led the Fisher Cats to a 68-72 record and a 3rd place fi nish in the Eastern League East Division.

PERSONAL:Richard Joseph Hebner...Born November 26, 1947 in Boston, Massachusetts...Graduated from Norwood High School in Norwood, MA...In the off -season, works as a gravedigger at a cemetary run by his family.

COACHING CAREER:• Entering his 3rd season as hitting coach for the Buff alo Bisons.• Under Hebner, the Herd’s off ense has fi nished with a .260 team average in each of the last two seasons -a mark that was

tied for the 3rd best in the International League in 2015...In each of the past two years under Hebner, the Bisons’ off ense has ranked in the Top 3 in the IL for fewest strikeouts (T1st in 2015, 878) and for most walks (3rd in 2015, 491). Th e Bisons have posted a +103 run diff erential in two seasons with Hebner as the hitting coach.

• Spent the 2013 season as the hitting coach for New Hampshire (AA) under manager Gary Allenson...Th e Fisher Cats fi nished 2nd in the Eastern League with 126 home runs and 4th with a .255 batting average.

COACHING CAREER:• Entering his second season as Bisons pitching coach...Also held the position in 2013.• Th e 2013 Bisons fi nished with a 4.16 ERA (12th in IL)...Buff alo pitchers walked 17 fewer batters (435) than any other

team in the IL.• Spent the 2014 season as the Blue Jays’ bullpen coach before returning to the minor league side in 2015 as the pitching

coach for the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats of the Eastern League.• Spent his fi rst season in the Blue Jays organization in 2012 as the pitching coach under Marty Brown at Las Vegas...

His 51s staff posted a 4.59ERA for the season, the sixth-best mark in the 16-team Pacifi c Coast League...Las Vegas also walked the fewest batters in the league (437) and posted seven shutouts.

• Worked for six seasons in the San Francisco Giants organization...Was the pitching coach for fi ve seasons at Double-A Connecticut (2004-2008) and one season with Single-A Hagerstown (2003).

PERSONAL:Voon Chong...Chong attended Simon Fraser University (Burnaby, British Columbia) in Canada and earned his degree in Kinesiology...He resides in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

CAREER:• Enters his 15th season in the Toronto organization and his fourth with the Buff alo Bisons...Th is will be his seventh season

as the athletic trainer for the Blue Jays’ Triple-A team.• He was the athletic trainer for six seasons (2004-09) with the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats of the Eastern

League. • He was named the 2007 Eastern League Athletic Trainer of the Year.• Also serves as Assistant Minor League Athletic Trainer and Rehabiliation Coordinator for the Blue Jays.

PERSONAL:Jason Dowse...Attended Brock University and earned a degree in Physical Education/Kinesiology...He is a certifi ed Strength & Conditioning Specialist and Registered Strength & Conditioning Coach through the NSCA.

CAREER:• Dowse is in his second season as the Bisons strength and conditioning coach and his sixth season as a strength coach with

the Toronto Blue Jays organization.• He was previously the strength and conditioning coach with the Single-A Lansing (2011-2013) and Single-A Dunedin

(2014) and also interned with the Blue Jays Major League club during the 2010 season.• In the 2014 off -season, Dowse worked with some of Canada’s top amateur baseball talent throughout the country...Was

part of the Major League Baseball Envoy Program for the past three years.

BUFFALO BISONS MEDICAL SUPPORT STAFF

Dr. James Slough has worked with the Buff alo Bisons organization since 1992. He is a Board Certifi ed Orthopaedic Surgeon practicing with Excelsior Orthopaedics. Dr. Slough is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), Clinical Orthopaedic Society (COS), American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and is on the Board of Coun-cilors for the AAOS, New York State Orthopaedic Society Board as well as the Catholic Medical Partners Board locally. Dr. Slough is the immediate past- President of the Clinical Orthopaedic Society. He obtained the 2010 Subspecialty Certifi cate in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine which is a certifi cate of added qualifi cations. Dr. Slough has extensive sports medicine experience working with professional, high school and college athletes, including game coverage, injury prevention and injury care. Originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, Dr. Slough graduated with a B.S. in Biology from the University of Michigan. He has an M.D. degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and did a General Surgery Internship with the University of Pennsylvania Graduate Hospital. He completed his Orthopaedic Residency at the University of Missouri at Kansas City and served three years of active duty at the United States Naval Hospital in Charleston, S.C., including overseasdeployment for Desert Shield and Desert Storm. His special interests are sports medicine, arthroscopy and minimally inva-sive shoulder, elbow, hip and knee surgery and musculoskeletal problems.

Dr. Andrew Stoeckl has worked with the Bisons since the 2005 season. He is a partner and acting Board President at Excelsior Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. Dr. Stoeckl completed his Sports Medicine fellowship at Harvard where he received advanced training in knee, shoulder, foot and ankle injuries with an emphasis on minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures as well as total joint replacement. Dr. Stoeckl is a Board Certifi ed Orthopaedic Surgeon and a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM). Dr. Stoeckl has extensive sports medicine experience working with athletes at the professional, collegiate and high school level including game coverage, injury prevention and injury care. He has worked with Harvard University, the New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins. Originally from Buff alo, NY, a graduate of Canisius High School; Dr. Stoeckl graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Boston College and earned his M.D. degree from State University of New York at Buff alo. He completed his orthopedic residency at UB where he earned the Casagrade Award for Outstanding Orthopedic Resident.

Excelsior Orthopaedics is a full-service orthopaedic group practice with 18 physicians, a po-diatrist, and several physician assistants, who came together to redefi ne the “patient experience” - establishing a higher standard of care and a musculoskeletal center where a patient’s every need is met before, during and after treatment. Th e Excelsior medical campus in Amherst is WNY’s only comprehensive orthopaedic facility. It is home to the Excelsior Orthopaedics medical practice, a full service physical and occupational therapy department, orthopaedic urgent care (Excelsior Express), an outpatient surgery center (Buff alo Surgery Center), a sports training division with a “sport ready” program, Electronic Medical Records, digital X-ray, MRI, and a durable medical equipment area. Additional offi ces are at 240 Red Tail (Suites 1 & 2) in Orchard Park and 6934 Williams Rd. (Summit Medical Campus, Suite 700) in Niagara Falls.

Dr. Lorenc is a Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician. He sees patients with athletic/exercise related injuries or medical problems and has worked with high school, college and professional athletes. He provided athletic coverage for the Univer-sity of Nevada-Reno, Syracuse University, Reno Rodeo and the NBA Developmental League’s Reno Bighorns. Originally from Alden, NY, Dr. Lorenc received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology and has a M.D. degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University at Syracuse. He completed his Internship and Residency in Family Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY and completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Nevada-Reno.

Dr. Matuszak is a partner at Excelsior Orthopaedics and is a Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician, and the Director of the Sports Concussion Center at Excelsior. He sees patients with athletic/exercise related injuries or medical problems and has worked with high school and college athletes. He provided athletic coverage for the University of Hawaii, Syracuse University, the Honolulu Marathon, the Empire State Games, the Ironman Triathlon and Ironman Triathlon World Cham-pionships. Originally from Medina, Dr. Matuszak received his Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Buff alo and has a M.D. degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University at Syracuse. He completed his Internship and Residency in Family Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY and completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawaii.

Dr. Reed holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University College of Engineering and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University at Buff alo School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. He completed his Orthopae-dic Surgery Residency training at the University at Buff alo. Dr. Reed went on to complete his fellowship training in Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery from the University at Buff alo. Dr. Reed has expertise treating general orthopedic needs with specialty focus on total upper extremity care. His practice includes arthroscopic treatment and joint replacement/reconstruction of the shoulder and all aspects of hand. He is an active contributor to research, innovation, and education concerning total shoulder replacement and orthopedic biomechanics.

both arms since the age of three.• Caused the Professional Baseball Umpire Corporation (PBUC) to create a new rule regarding ambidextrous pitchers on

July 2, 2008, that stated that a “pitcher must visually indicate to the umpire, batter and runner(s) which way he will begin pitching to the batter”.
