At least one letter should primarily address your involvement in the agricultural and/or show industry. • Applications are due February 16, 2016. The required material must be in an envelope with a clasp and postmarked by February 16, 2016. • Mail application to: Jackrabbit Memorial c/o Scholarship Selection Committee Animal Science Complex Box 2170 Brookings, SD 57007 • Incomplete applications and applications postmarked after Feb 16, 2016, will be disqualified. • Recipients will be notified by Saturday, February 20, 2016. Recipient must be present at the show on Saturday, February 27 th , 2016 in Sioux Falls, SD to receive their scholarship. GRANT • The amount of the scholarship shall be at least $250. • The scholarship will be awarded to one person for one year to be used for a show calf project. • The scholarship is provided through the Logan Rau family and contributions received by the SDSU B&B/AGR Jackrabbit Memorial Committee. BASIS FOR SELECTION OF GRANT RECIPIENTS • Individual must be involved in the show cattle industry. Preference given to kids belonging to a breed association and/or the South Dakota Junior Point Association. • Applicant must be at least 12 years old. • Preference given to an individual in financial need. • Agriculture background is required.
