2016 GRATITUDE REPORT “Compassion is a great way to success; you’ve been extremely kind and compassionate. I appreciate everything you’ve done. This is a very comfortable environment.” - Annie, CP’s 242nd GED graduate Strengthening Teller County Families for 25 years. Dear Friends, I am very proud to share with you CP’s 2016 Gratitude Report. Please join us in reviewing the accomplishments that you have made possible through your partner- ship and support. 2016 brought another year of increased demand on non-profits to fill the growing service gaps in their communities. What an incredible confirma- tion of CP’s strength and integrity it is to reflect on the ways in which these pres- sures further developed and strengthened our organization last year: 1. Collaborate! While growing its long-standing collaborations with partners like Woodland Park School District and Teller County Department of Human Services, CP formalized several new connections. CP has proudly entered into a new collab- oration with the Cripple Creek & Victor School District and the Teller Park Early Childhood Council to support and enhance the delivery of the district’s Early Head Start, Head Start, and Childcare Partnership programs. CP and the Pikes Peak Workforce Center implemented an MOU to develop career pathways for our GED students. CP also began a new project with Colorado Springs School District D-11 to provide a two-generation approach to meet the needs of GED students and their families across the Pikes Peak Region, and also increased programming at Lake George Charter School. 2. Coordinate! In 2016, more than 200 families received comprehensive, coordi- nated case management services in which CP’s family advocates provided cus- tomized family development plans, goal-setting, financial coaching, basic needs assistance, and referrals to CP’s many programs and services and to other exter- nal providers. While CP continues to serve about 1,500 individuals each year, the amount of time families spend with our staff has increased dramatically as they participate in multiple CP programs and establish long-term partnerships with their family advocates. 3. Caliber! In 2016, CP made significant investments in increasing the quality of program delivery and evaluation. Evidence-based curricula and data collection and outcome measurement procedures were adopted for programs that were lacking. This year, CP was recognized as a Model Affiliate by PAT National for exceptional program fidelity in our Parents as Teachers program. What will the next 25 years bring for CP? Twenty-five years ago, CP made a commitment to provide leadership and vision to creating a community where fami- lies thrive, and parents have access to the support they need to succeed in raising our community’s children. Here’s to another 25 years of continuing to do just that. Respectfully, Jodi Mijares, Executive Director Family Community Integrity Collaboration Excellence

Strengthening Teller County Families for 25 years.

Dear Friends,

I am very proud to share with you CP’s 2016 Gratitude Report. Please join us in

reviewing the accomplishments that you have made possible through your partner-

ship and support. 2016 brought another year of increased demand on non-profits

to fill the growing service gaps in their communities. What an incredible confirma-

tion of CP’s strength and integrity it is to reflect on the ways in which these pres-

sures further developed and strengthened our organization last year:

1. Collaborate! While growing its long-standing collaborations with partners like

Woodland Park School District and Teller County Department of Human Services,

CP formalized several new connections. CP has proudly entered into a new collab-

oration with the Cripple Creek & Victor School District and the Teller Park Early

Childhood Council to support and enhance the delivery of the district’s Early Head

Start, Head Start, and Childcare Partnership programs. CP and the Pikes Peak

Workforce Center implemented an MOU to develop career pathways for our GED

students. CP also began a new project with Colorado Springs School District D-11

to provide a two-generation approach to meet the needs of GED students and their

families across the Pikes Peak Region, and also increased programming at Lake

George Charter School.

2. Coordinate! In 2016, more than 200 families received comprehensive, coordi-

nated case management services in which CP’s family advocates provided cus-

tomized family development plans, goal-setting, financial coaching, basic needs

assistance, and referrals to CP’s many programs and services and to other exter-

nal providers. While CP continues to serve about 1,500 individuals each year, the

amount of time families spend with our staff has increased dramatically as they

participate in multiple CP programs and establish long-term partnerships with their

family advocates.

3. Caliber! In 2016, CP made significant investments in increasing the quality of

program delivery and evaluation. Evidence-based curricula and data collection and

outcome measurement procedures were adopted for programs that were lacking.

This year, CP was recognized as a Model Affiliate by PAT National for exceptional

program fidelity in our Parents as Teachers program.

What will the next 25 years bring for CP? Twenty-five years ago, CP made a

commitment to provide leadership and vision to creating a community where fami-

lies thrive, and parents have access to the support they need to succeed in raising

our community’s children. Here’s to another 25 years of continuing to do just that.

Respectfully,
