LTS LiteTouch SystemBecause Pipetting Shouldn’t Hurt

By rethinking how tips fit onto pipettes, the Rainin LiteTouch System dramatically reduces the amount of force required to load and eject tips. A small sealing ring near the top of the tip slides easily over the shaft, creating a firm, air-tight fit with minimal force and friction. LTS pipettes have cylindrical ends (not cone-shaped) and a positive stop inside the tip to guide the shaft to the correct insertion depth.

While some tip filters contain additives that can inhibit enzymatic reactions, Rainin filter tips are made from pure virgin polyethylene. Sintered polyethylene particles prevent aerosols and liquids from being aspirated into the body of the pipette, yet are completely inert and non-reactive.

All filter tips are pre-sterilized by radiation after packaging as added protection for biological samples. Machine-loaded, these tips are certified free of RNase, DNase, DNA, pyrogen, PCR inhibitors, and ATP contamination.

ShaftGard tips enclose the pipette‘s tip ejector and shaft, protecting it from accidental contamination and reducing maintenance of the shaft and tip ejector when working with biological or other critical samples.

ShaftGard tips reduce contamination of the shaft and tip ejector. The tip encloses the tip ejector. The tip is ejected by pressing on the “shoulder” inside the tip – affording further protection against contamination.

• Longer length

ShaftGard tips are significantly longer than standard micro-10 tips for easier access into microcentrifuge and PCR tubes.

• Reduce maintenance

Enclosing the pipette shaft and tip ejector in the tip reduces the need to decontaminate or sterilize the pipette.

Extended length tips make accurate aspirating and dispensing possible within deep, narrow vessels and in other applications that require longer reach. Although longer and narrower than standard pipette tips, extended length tips have no discernible effect upon pipetting accuracy.
