Welcome to our 11th Annual Bull Sale. It is again a pleasure to have Blue Mountains Charolais as guest consigners again this year. Our bulls in the sale are more consistent than ever, all with built in calving ease, plenty of muscle and the ability to pack on the pounds. Two of the main sire groups this year are sons of Merit Roundup and LT Ledger. Ledger and Roundup were picked to use in our program because of their ability to sire sound, functional cattle that perform. Not to mention that they also have very good curve bending (low birth high growth) EPD’s that show through in their progeny.

Sarah Buchanan will again be videoing the bulls for us this year. The videos will be posted at DVauction.com and there will also be a link from the catalogue section on the Charolais Banner website.

Its our 11th sale and the 11th one we have had at Keady Livestock, it is great to be working with them again this year.

Our open house is on March 12th, it is a good opportunity to come out and view the bulls prior to the sale. If you can’t make it to the open house and wish to see the bulls before the sale give Darrell or myself a call. We would be happy to tour you through the bulls at any time.

The bulls offered have been rigorously selected for docility, scrotal, maternal values and terminal traits to maximize your bottom line and efficiency. We are witnessing tremendous demand for Simmental Bulls in North America to provide calving ease and more pounds at weaning. The trend has started for Simmental Bulls.

The bulls are developed together on a grain ration with corn silage and dry hay and are presented in their working clothes. The bulls will be semen tested and guaranteed as per the Simmental Association guidelines.

Vaccination – All cowherd & bulls are on a modified live vaccine program including Blackleg vaccination.

Insurance – If the bulls are returning back to the farms, they MUST be insured through your preferred insurance agency.
