Overall, the wage gap between men and women is still significant in the operations management industry, with men earning 25% more than women on average, but the discrepancy varies widely based on geography, job category, age, and experience level.
Women the North East and Midwest report higher average salaries than men.

Most hiring managers prefer candidates with APICS certificatonsSeventy seven percent of respondants reported that CPIM certification would positively impact their hiring decision on a candidate, and seventy six percent reported that of CSCP. The impact of APICS certifications on hiring decisions has grown by 60% since 2009.
