St Vincent de Paul Meeting,
9.30am, U Choir Practice, 7pm, C
Loving God, May we recognise each other as sisters and brothers
in our one global human family, all equal in your eyes. May our love be overflowing with small gestures of mutual care
as we seek to build a better world. We live in hope that we will see a world where each of us
is in right relationship with our environment and with each other. We look forward to celebrating the birth of your son, Jesus Christ,
a sign of your immense love for each and every one of us. May we love one another as you have loved us.
When faced with difficult circumstances, Joseph, in today’s Gospel, had faith, listening to what God asked him to do and by doing what was asked of him by the angel. We too are called to discern what God is asking of us, and follow God’s guidance. What resources can we use to help us discern what God wants us to do? What are the signs that ‘God is with us’ today?
What small gestures of mutual care, of love, have you done, or think you could do, that seek to build a better world, as our Advent time comes to end?
from: Caritas Australia – Parish Advent Resource
RCIA This weekend at the 10am Mass we have the Rite of Acceptance for our RCIA candidates and catechumens.
Over the last few months the RCIA Team (Bill Hunt, Denise & Mark Renouf, Maree Taverna, Ange Virgona, Fr Laurie and Lys Crowe) have been meeting with Craig Chapman, Kahu & Marcus Hutton
and Kim Vrapcenjak & Steve Mellech. We formally welcome them this weekend and assure them of our support, care and prayer as they prepare to receive the Sacra-ments at Easter.
Thankyou to Maurie Hutchinson (Craig), Peter and Meaghan Leamon (Kim & Ste-ve) and Tim and Catherine Hogan (Kahu & Marcus) who are their Parish Sponsors.
There will be morning tea after 10am Mass, so you can take the chance to personal-ly welcome them and get to know them.

Warning… Warning: Advent Virus Be on the alert for symptoms of inner Hope, Peace, Joy
and Love. The hearts of a great many have already been
exposed to this virus and it is possible that people eve-
rywhere could come down with it in epidemic propor-
tions. This could pose a serious threat to what has, up
to now, been a fairly stable condition of conflict in the
world.
Some signs and symptoms of the Advent Virus:
A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather
than on fears based on past experiences.
An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment.
A loss of interest in judging other people.
A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of
others.
A loss of interest in conflict.
A loss of ability to worry. (This is a very serious
symptom).
Frequent, overwhelming episodes of apprecia-
tion.
Contented feelings of connectedness with others
and nature.
Frequent attacks of smiling.
An increasing tendency to let things happen ra-
ther than make them happen.
An increased susceptibility to the love extended
by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to
extend it.
Please send this warning out to all your friends. This
virus can and has affected many systems.
Some systems have been completely cleaned out be-
cause of it.
