KidsHope Easter Egg AdoptionThe teachers of Williams Elementary need your help! Williams Elementary is a school in south Austin that SHPC has partnered with, through the Kids Hope program, to mentor children and support the teachers. Come select an egg in the annual Kids Hope Easter Egg Adoption, happening March 6th through 20th in the narthex. Each egg represents a requested gift to a teacher or staff member at the school that will support his or her work with students. Examples include construction paper, stickers, gift cards, scissors, and books. Teachers are still thanking us for the items we gave them last year – they are a blessing to their classrooms!Watch for the posters and Easter baskets, and if you have questions about Easter Egg Adoption or Kids Hope, please contact Sue Lagerquist at 512-663-5540 or kidshope@shpc.org.

PrimeTime Spring Retreat Living the Beauty of CreationWhether you are an SHPC member or a visitor, please join us for a wonderful time of Christian fellowship and feel free to invite a friend. We will be looking at the glory of God’s continuing creation and trying to discover how we play a part in it. Bible study, worship, and music leaders for the retreat will be Beth & Rob Mueller and Sherry Smith. Rev. Jim Capps may also visit with us on Wednesday. PrimeTime Museum TourOn March 9th, we’re meeting at the church at 9:00 am to carpool to the Elizabet Ney Museum!After a docent led tour, we will have lunch at the Hyde Park Grill. Elizabet Ney’s home/gallery showcases the late artist’s portrait sculpture work as well as memorabilia of her life. Reaching Out to Our MOPS Moms: How You Can HelpDo you like to cook? Are you looking for a way to serve others? Is a one-time commitment best for your schedule? MOPS at SHPC has a night time group of working moms who meet 2nd and 4th Thursdays from 6-8 p.m. We like to kick off their gatherings by offering them a catered meal. If you can provide a simple dinner fo!r this small group and their kiddos in childcare, we would be grateful.
