Children at the Lord’s Table Sacraments WorkshopAll children in 2nd-5th grades who would like to learn more about the sacraments of Baptism and Communion are invited to attend this workshop with at least one parent or guardian on Saturday, March 5th, from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. This activity-based workshop will take place in the Family Ministry Center (FMC) at the William Cannon campus and includes teaching that is both educational and interactive. The workshop concludes with participants meeting with pastors and elders to prepare for their first celebration of the Sacrament of Communion and recognition by the congregation on March 6th.For more information or to register your child(ren) for the class, please contact Pastor Britta at 892-3580, ext. 107 or britta@shpc.org.

Kids Hope Easter Egg Adoption Starts Next Week!

KidsHope Easter Egg AdoptionThe teachers of Williams Elementary need your help! Williams Elementary is a school in south Austin that SHPC has partnered with, through the Kids Hope program, to mentor children and support the teachers. Come select an egg in the annual Kids Hope Easter Egg Adoption, happening March 6th through 20th in the narthex. Each egg represents a requested gift to a teacher or staff member at the school that will support his or her work with students. Examples include construction paper, stickers, gift cards, scissors, and books. Teachers are still thanking us for the items we gave them last year – they are a blessing to their classrooms!Watch for the posters and Easter baskets, and if you have questions about Easter Egg Adoption or Kids Hope, please contact Sue Lagerquist at 512-663-5540 or kidshope@shpc.org.

PrimeTime Museum TourOn March 9th, we’re meeting at the church at 9:00 am to carpool to the Elizabet Ney Museum!After a docent led tour, we will have lunch at the Hyde Park Grill. Elizabet Ney’s home/gallery showcases the late artist’s portrait sculpture work as well as memorabilia of her life.
