giFt registry etiquetteIt is improper form to mention wedding gifts/registry in any part of your wedding invitation. So how do guests know where you are registered
at? There are a couple of options. 1. Enclose a card in the invitation directing your guests to your wedding Web site. Your guests will find the
information there.2. Make sure family and close friends know where you are registered. They
can pass the word on for you.3. It is alright to mention where you are registered within the wording of a
bridal shower invitation.

sPRingWooD RanCh’s PaRty BaRn www.springwoodranch.com THORP
Springwood Ranch’s Party Barn is just a short drive out of downtown Ellensburg in Thorp. With rolling hills and charming views of the Yakima River that run straight through
the ranch property, Springwood Ranch is for the couple who craves a dreamy outdoor wed-ding with picturesque viewpoints. Springwood Ranch’s Party Barn provides another element for those who are looking for indoor casual elegance. The rustic barn’s high-vaulted ceilings and open space are welcoming for large parties but also feel intimate and inviting for smaller groups as well. “The majority of ceremonies are held out on the lawn,” owner Sarah Foster said. “Then people typically make their way into the farm for the reception, which is also for use in case of bad weather.”
Bride Stephanie Lashua said one of the reasons she chose Springwood Ranch’s Party Barn was in case Mother Nature decided to take control on the big day. “I wanted a venue that had a back-up plan for bad weather,” Lashua said. “And thank goodness I did, because I have never seen it rain so hard in June. But not a single one of my guests had to flinch because we could all fit perfectly inside the barn for the ceremony.” The barn seats approximately 230 guests for dinner but allows couples to incorporate outdoor picnic tables as well for a grand total of 330 guests. While the Party Barn does not allow outside catering, it can incorporate a variety of meats, all prepared over an alderwood fire pit. “To this day, I still have people telling me they have never had such great food at a wedding,” Lashua said. “I really can’t say enough great things about it.”
Wedding costs vary according to size of party. Party Barn has a $34.95 per head charge, which includes the rental of the venue and in-house catering.

If you’re a couple who likes the big city feel combined with hometown charm, Gallery One Visual Arts Center is an ideal venue. Located in the heart of downtown El-lensburg, Gallery One is an exhibition hall and wedding venue in one. The gallery has more 5,000 square feet, a courtyard and a large skylight on the top floor.
Snap selfies with your bridal party in front of the rare, architectural design of the historic Gallery One build-
ing or let the rotating exhibits of art be your canvas for a one-of-a-kind look that your guests can take in on your special day. The gallery also makes for a fun spot for couples interested in a do-it-yourself (DIY) wedding.
While some people like to stay clear of their workplaces on their wedding day, Gal-lery One Retail Manager Sarah Haven found Gallery One was the perfect space for her own wedding. “Once our ceremony was over on the top floor, all of our guests went downstairs where everything was already set up and ready to go,” she said. “None of the guests had to worry about going to a second location. The art was gorgeous and made our wedding pictures all the more beautiful.”
Gallery One has a full kitchen available for catering and can seat approximately 120 guests for a plated dinner or up to 300 guests for a cocktail party. Weddings average around $500 to rent the facility.

sWiFtWateR CeLLaRswww.swiftwatercellars.com SUNCADIA
Nestled in the Cascade Mountains and in the heart of the Suncadia Resort lies Swiftwater Cellars. This destination wedding site is the quintessential location for a Pacific North-west outdoor wedding blended with an
intimate, wine country feel. Located in Upper Kittitas County, Swiftwater Cellars incorporates the area’s rich coal mining history and is home to the No. 9 mine that operated from 1930 to 1963. Throughout the property, Swiftwater Cellars uses delicate, rustic design to provide guests with a sense of mountain elegance. The winery has three unique spots for couples to wed, including the Swiftwater Room, which encompasses the wine cellar and members-only Black Diamond Club room; the outdoor amphitheater Tipple Gardens, overlooking the ninth hole of the Rope Rider Golf Course; and La Cantina, a multi-purpose event space that is often used during harvest to process fruit.
Bride Kourtney Pugel decided to have her wedding outside, overlooking the Rope Rider Golf Course, followed by an indoor reception in La Cantina. “I couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop to have our pictures,” Pugel said.“(Swiftwater Cellars) has a very rustic ambiance with wine accents. I didn’t even add any decor because the building itself was so breathtak-ing.” Swiftwater offers everything from customized menus to wedding planners and in-house catering. “We really make it a one-stop shop for our couples and families,” Swiftwater Cellars’ Marketing and Events Manager Leena Haija said. “The best part is that our brides can take it to so many different levels. I’ve had brides do baby breath and galvanized buckets to crystal and burlap for rustic elegant. The possibilities are endless.”
Weddings average around $25,000 and the venue can accommodate parties from 60 to 350 people.
sunCaDia ResoRtwww.suncadiaresort.com SUNCADIA
The Suncadia Resort brings the past and present together in an intimate, lodge-style resort. Perched on the mountainside in Up-per Kittitas County, Suncadia has 180-degree panoramic views of the Cle Elum River valley
and Cascade Mountain Range. Whether you’re a bride who has always dreamed of an on-the-green wedding or you like the idea of a majestic, cliffside affair, Suncadia has a variety of spaces fit for nearly every size wedding.
Some of the favorites are the rustic barn at Nelson Dairy Farm, the Lodge and the amphithe-ater. While Suncadia’s busy wedding season is March through September, it is an all-season destination with many winter weddings too.
Suncadia’s Portals Restaurant Manager Jamie Coonan said one reason couples choose to get married at Suncadia is tradition. “Suncadia is a place that couples come to get married and years down the road, they come back again with their kids and celebrate their anniversaries,” Coonan said.
The destination wedding site can accommodate a variety of wants and needs. Weddings average between $15,000-$25,000.
RitteR FaRmswww.ritterfarms.netCLE ELUM
Ritter Farms is a family owned and oper-ated farm for the bride and groom who yearn for the serene outdoors in a romantic and one-of-a-kind farm setting. Weddings are held on Ritter Farms’ lush gardens and
landscapes, overlooking the mountain peaks of the Cascade Mountain Range. With countless scenic backdrops, brides and grooms can customize their special day.
For those who are worried about weather, don’t fret — Ritter Farms has that covered, too. Their countryside timber farm doubles as both a wedding and reception site. They also boast on-site amenities including an in-house kitchen, elegant bathrooms, ample parking, and even a horse-drawn carriage ride for the bride who dreams of being whisked away like Cinderella. “We take the time with each couple to bring about their vision for their special day and to create memories that will last a lifetime,” owner Brian Ritter said.
The venue can accommodate up to 300 guests. The average cost of a wedding is approxi-mately $8,400, but prices vary depending on the size of the party, catering selection, bar service and additional amenities.

PHotogrAPHy tiPsSince time is often limited between the ceremony and reception it is best to take all posed photos before the ceremony. If you are wanting to capture that special moment when the groom sees his bride for the first time in her wedding gown a simple solution is to arrange for the groom to be alone and have the bride enter the room alone and only have the photographer present to capture the
special moment.
If there are details that are special to you make sure you let the photographer know that you would like these captured, such as special jewelry, special
guests, etc.
Let your photographer know your preference in style, such as candid shots, posed, black & white or color. Don’t be afraid to let the photographer have free range of capturing moments especially
at the reception.

During the consulta-tion with the bakery be sure to inquire about additional fees such as delivery and setup fees as well as rental fees for items such as a cake stand. Also, expect to leave a deposit. If you want to coordinate your cake with your dress and/or flowers it is a good idea to bring
