For those who have not volunteered, we need you. We understand that everyone is “busy,” but if everyone is “busy” then who is going to take the time for the kids? Don’t always ex-pect someone else will do it. Take an active part in your child’s life. If you do, you will find it is fun and rewarding. You can make a difference.

*To all those who have unselfishly taken the time to coach a team or volunteer in anyway, we thank you, please continue!

Trudi Hatch

Volunteer Service Award Recipient

Trudi and Denton Hatch moved their family to Tremonton 19 years ago. They have five children. Three are married - Jayci and Mitch Anderson (Idaho Falls) Jake and Madison Hatch (Tremonton), Shanade and Derek Marcroft moving back to Utah this month. Kaleb Hatch lives in Farr West and Bailey Hatch is a senior at Bear River High School, as well as a grandson, Decklan Marcroft turning two and a grand daughter due at the end of March, Kenzington Anderson. They look forward to enjoying many years as grandparents. Trudi and her family love to camp, ride 4 wheelers and travel as much as possible as a family When asked about being involved in the community, Trudi said, “Volunteering in the community is important to me. I love to give back as much as possible. I have been fortunate to volunteer with several PTAs, STP Club at BRHS, land use committees, director with Chamber of Commerce, Boys and Girls Club, Kiwanis Club, Box Elder Education Committee, Box Elder Suicide Prevention, CERT member and several others I am sure I have missed. They are all equally as important. “ “This community offers many opportunities to get involved and help with progression and change. I admire and look up to so many who are a great example in my life to serve and give back. Tremonton City has put a great deal of effort into constant improvement and looking for ways to enhance and showcase our community.” She continued, “I am blessed to work for a great company and have an amazing family who supports me in all I do. I love going to work every day, meeting and associating with so many in this great valley. Therefore it’s the least I can do to give back just a little for all of the support I have received.” Trudi is looking forward to the Tour of Utah and the fun and excitement it will bring into our community. True to form, Trudi has taken on the roll of Volunteer Coordinator for the Tour of Utah Local Organizing Committee. We will need 150 volunteers for this event. ”I look forward to bringing many people together to host this great event. We will need many hands in various aspects of the events. If you have a desire to give back, be involved or just to step out of your comfort zone to serve, please

contact me. [email protected] or 435-279-3463.” Thank you Trudi for all you do for our community. You are truly appreciated. If you would like to nominate someone in the community to receive the Volunteer Service Award please contact Marc Christensen at 435-257-9486 or by email at [email protected]

“I am a coach because of the kids and the passion I have for the game and sport itself. There is no better feeling than teaching a child the importance of discipline, hard work, team effort, dedication, determination, and the heart it takes to win not only in sports but in life” ~ Bill Pingitor

Our instructional youth programs encourage fun, personal excellence, and sportsmanship while preparing youth with the fundamental skills to progress successfully into competitive sports. All players will receive equal playing time and be given the opportunity to play different positions. Respect for players, coaches, and officials is required.

Teams are organized based on the number of players registered. Siblings in the same leagues will be placed together on a team. Coaches will be granted their son or daughter on a team as well as one free player whose parent may be an assistant coach. In non-tournament leagues, players are placed on teams based on their physical address and split as equal as possible depending on grade, gender and the number of coaches in their area. In tournament leagues, players are split into teams as equal as possible by results of evaluations of each participants skill level preformed by the coaches at tryouts. Each coach then takes an equally divided team, along with the coach’s son or daughter and free player, to form their team. All players registered at the registration deadline will be on a team. All late registrations will be randomly placed on a team by the parks and recreation staff until the league is full.
