OUR MISSION Boston Asian American Film Festival (BAAFF) empowers Asian Americans through film by showcasing Asian American experiences and serving as a resource to filmmakers and the Greater Boston Community. BAAFF is a production of the Asian American Resource Workshop. BAAFF builds on 35-years of AARW supporting the Asian American Community through film.

The mission of the Asian American Resource Workshop, a 501(c)3 non-profit, is to work for the empowerment of the Asian Pacific American community to achieve its full participation in U.S. society. AARW is a member-based organization that seeks to document the diverse Asian Pacific American histories, experiences and social conditions. Our resources and activities are used to respond to current Asian Pacific American issues and to promote the Asian American identity.

WHY SPONSOR BAAFF?

Boston Asian American Film Festival (BAAFF) is the largest Asian American film festival in New England. Our interest resides in the passion to bring Asian American films to the public and to educate them on the experiences that Asian Americans face in society. There are many issues in our society that are not being recognized such as gentrification and discrimination; and we are here to help raise awareness to these concerns. As a non-profit organization, we are a relatively small team of extremely dedicated volunteers with a tremendously limited budget that goes towards marketing, venues, inviting special guests, producers/directors and more. Your help will not only help us financially, it will help us inspirationally.

videos spotlighting the Asian American experience, while offering your

BAAFF offers an array of distinct sponsorship opportunities to cater to your organization's unique marketing needs. There are four major sponsorship levels, which provide varying exposure ranging from co-branding of the film to hosting a reception or screening event.

BAAFF implements a multi-layered marketing plan targeting area students, professionals, and film aficionados. Boston area colleges, universities, and community organizations partner with BAAFF to host these community screenings. Particular effort is given to working with student groups on campuses to raise awareness for the festival. Awareness is also generated through traditional grass roots campaigning, social networking opportunities, and word of mouth. In addition, the media will be informed of the event and be provided with a schedule of screenings and events.

Special Events Special Events over the course of the festival provides an opportunity to spotlight your organization during a VIP/high-profile event. There are opportunities to sponsor an event including Opening Reception, film/filmmaker reception and Closing Event.

The following is a list of some of the possible benefits of this type of sponsorship: Event naming rights Spokesperson exposure at event Company inclusion on film festival posters, website, and the BAAFF program guide.

In-Kind Sponsorship & Other Sponsorship Opportunities In addition to financial sponsorship, BAAFF also welcomes support in form of in-kind support. Additional goods and services that we are in need of include media, printing, food and beverage, hospitality and travel.
