Doo GoodPick up dog doo. Protect streams.

Dog Doo is more than a nuisance!

1

3It adds up!Locally there are 90,000 dogs that make 11,700 tons of poop a year.

It spreads diseaselike Giardia and accounts for up to 20% of the bacteria in our waterways.

It hurts fishby adding nutrients which act like a fertilizer in streams making algae grow, and reducing oxygen levels.

Automobile Maintenance

± Sweep grass c l ippings back onto your yard after mowing.

± Blowing leaves and grass c l ippings into the gutter and/or storm drains can c log storm pipes and cause f looding. I t is against the law to b low, s tore or d ispose of any yard waste in the s t reet . F ines wi l l be assessed.

± Although leaves and grass c l ippings are biodegradable, the process of decomposing robs oxygen from the water . These added nutr ients feed our water bodies and contr ibute to harmful a lgae blooms which k i l l f ish.
