The REALTORS® Land Institute (the Institute), a not-for-profit association of land professionals, is dedicated to building knowledge, relationships, and business for REALTORS® and related real estate professionals who specialize in land transactions.

Terms and ConditionsREALTORS® Land Institute Sponsorship Terms and ConditionsCancellations: No cancellations for any event will take place or must be in writing to the REALTORS® Land Institute (the Institute). No cancellations will be accepted after the brochure creation for the event.

No Liability: You recognize and understand that the Institute is not providing transportation, lodging, meals, recreational, audio visual at the conference, or other services to you. You agree that the direct provider of those services shall be solely responsible for any personal injury, including death, or property damage you may sustain, and not the Institute.

Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend and hold the Institute harmless from any and all losses, claims, damages, expenses, fees, settlements, penalties and attorneys’ fees arising from your (and/or your employees, agents’ and subcontractors’) willful misconduct, intentional or negligent actions or omissions before, during and after any event sponsored by you. This defense and indemnity obligation survives termination or expiration of any event sponsored by you.

Morals Clause: The Institute shall have the right to immediately terminate your sponsorship and/or participation in any event in its sole discretion, if you and/or your employees, agents or subcontractors, engages or has engaged in conduct which is generally viewed by the public as offensive and reprehensible from a legal or moral perspec-tive or that directly or indirectly negatively impacts on the Institute in any manner whatsoever.

Force Majeure: All performance by you and the Institute in connection with any event is subject to the acts of God, war, terrorism, government regulations, disaster, strikes, civil disorder, curtailment of transportation facilities or other emergencies making it illegal or impracticable to hold the event or for you to sponsor and/or participate in the event. The Institute may cancel any event based on force majeure without any liability to you whatsoever.

No use of REALTORS® Land Institute trademarks: You agree that you shall not use the name, trademarks, service marks, logos or other proprietary designation of the REALTORS® Land Institute‚ in any advertising or promotional materials without our prior consent and without following the Institute’s Visual Standards.

Independent Contractor: You acknowledge, understand and agree that you are not an agent, legal representative, joint venturer, partner, employee or servant of the Institute but rather an independent contractor, and you are in no way authorized to make any statement, promise, contract, agreement, warranty or representation or to create any obligation, express or implied, on behalf of the Institute. You shall be responsible for all of your own expenses and taxes, including withholding taxes, social security requirements, state income and similar taxes, public liability insurance and responsibility, worker’s compensation insurance, auto insurance, and the like.

Miscellaneous: The 2015 National Land Conference, LANDU Education Week, Courses, and other events are not open to the general public. The Institute may require any member of the general public to leave the event, with-out any liability.

Breach of Terms and Conditions: If you fail to comply with any of the Terms and Conditions set forth herein, the Institute may immediately terminate your sponsorship without any liability or refund to you whatsoever.
