PENSACOLA SPORTSASSOCIATION
Welcome Players and Guests! On behalf of the board, staff and members of Pensacola Sports, as well as the entire tourism industry of Escambia County, it is my pleasure to welcome all players, families and friends to our wonderful community.
Pensacola has an enchanting array of things to do and see along the 40 miles of sugar white beaches, throughout the historic districts and amongst the many places to enjoy great arts, sports, fashion and cuisine!
Pensacola has a rich history as the first European settlement (1559, six years ahead of St. Augustine), and is home to the largest naval aviation museum in the world, the National Museum of Naval Aviation. Pensacola is also home to some of the top minds in the world at the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition and other high tech firms in fields such as aeronautics and engineering who are building growth in our supportive business climate. The Downtown Area of Pensacola which revolves around Palafox Street, is home to some of the city’s finest restaurants, bars, boutiques, gallery’s and large festivals, such as The Seafood Festival, The Fiesta of Five Flags, and The Great Gulf Coast Arts Festival.
As you plan for your future, we hope you will consider the Pensacola area for your vacations or as a place to call home. In the words of the late Mayor Emeritus Vince Whibbs we are “the Western Gate to the Sunshine state where thousands live the way millions wish they could…”
Thank you for coming. We welcome and encourage feedback from all the sponsors, participants, volunteers and staff in our on-going efforts to make this event the best it can be this year, and for the future.
Good luck and please remember sportsmanship matters!

Sportsmanship StatementThe NIRSA Championship Series believes good sportsmanship is an integral component of intercollegiate competition.
We wholeheartedly embrace the position that, in order for sportsmanship to prevail, coaches, student-athletes, and fans must display respect, fairness, civility, honesty, and responsibility before, during, and after all athletic contests. We encourage fans to enthusiasti-cally support their team, recognize the outstanding performance of opponents, and always exhibit good sportsmanship in their words and actions.
The NIRSA Championship Series encourages and promotes sportsmanship by student-athletes, coaches, and spectators.
The NIRSA Championship Series is committed to holding tournaments in a safe environment free from bullying. Offensive language including profanity, derogatory remarks around a person’s race, ethnicity, culture, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, national origin, veteran status, social economic class, religion, or professional status, or other intimidating actions directed at officials, event staff, student-athletes, coaches or team representatives will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the competition site.
