Achievements to Date

• In fiscal year 2014/15, CPO-W received 4,690 (Jan) SAH applications
• In fiscal year 2014/15, CPO-W processed 5,711 (Jan) SAH applications, compared to 1,691 processed in fiscal year 2013/14
• This is an increase of 238% in processing for 2014/15 compared to 2013/14

Intake

•Communicate with SAH Secretariat once per week to confirm SAH CAP space allocation for applications received the previous week

• On May 15th, 2015, the Add Dependent Form was phased out and replaced by the Sponsorship Undertaking Form
• There will be a grace period of 60 days for use of the Add Dependent form

• CPO-W will contact sponsor for any additional information
Final Decision
• CPO-W makes final sponsorship decision and approvals are transferred overseas for final processing

• Changes have been implemented for the One Year Window process and CPO-W’s role
• Going forward the IMM0008 Application for Permanent Residence package will now need to be sent to CPO-W when the One Year Window process is initiated

• Initial Undertaking assessed to ensure additional applicant was included
CPO-W Decision
• CPO-W renders decision on One Year Window eligibility
File Transfer Overseas
• If approved CPO-W will transfer application for overseas processing

• All Withdrawal applications now submitted to CPO-W from SAHs are provisionally accepted at receipt of the application
• Determination of acceptability and any impact to SAH agreements will be assessed at a later time

• CPO-W is notified of withdrawal by sponsor or visa office
Withdrawal Accepted
• CPO-W automatically accepts all withdrawals from SAH and will inform visa office
Durability Assessment
• After withdrawal is accepted, durable solution is assessed if provided
Correspondence with Sponsor
• CPO-W will correspond with SAH regarding additional information for a new sponsor or durable solution
Acceptability of Withdrawal Assessed
• If withdrawal is deemed unacceptable, CIC will follow up with SAH

• In response to privacy concerns and in accordance with the Privacy Act, CIC has removed the Unique Client Identifier (UCI) from all outgoing correspondence with sponsors.
