As with everything associated with Margan, we want your celebration to be a stylish, yet relaxed affair. We offer a unique wedding destination for the discerning couple who appreciates quality food, great wine and friendly, intuitive service. Margan has that all important ‘wow’ factor and is one of the Hunter Valley’s most sought after wedding venue.

Margan is situated in the picturesque wine region village of Broke, Hunter Valley. Our beautiful rammed earth building is simply stunning and boasts breathtaking views across the vineyards to the Brokenback mountain range. With our courtyard, bar, restaurant and barrel room as well as ceremony areas, Margan offers an endless array of options for each couple to tailor make their celebrations to suit their individual style.

Margan provides the complete food and wine experience, and as such our restaurant team will create an inspiring menu for you and your guests, served with premium beverages including award winning Margan Wines. Warm, professional service and meticulous attention to detail will ensure that guests are well looked after. Our experienced wedding consultant will assist you to plan the details of your celebration so that you can simply enjoy your day.

It is important to us that your wedding day be truly unique and is remembered by yourselves, as well as your friends and family, for years to come. After all memorable weddings don’t just happen, they’re planned!

Margan has two beautiful on-site ceremony options for your exclusive use

Yo u r C e r e m o n y

C O U RT YA R D C E R E M O N YOur Courtyard Ceremony Area has an intimate and charming ambiance with it’s antique French gates, decorative metal screens, fountain and lush landscaping.

G a r d e n C e r e m o n yOur Garden Ceremony Area overlooks the vineyards and enjoys sweeping views to Yellow Rock and the striking Brokenback mountain range.

A $300 ceremony setup fee applies for on-site ceremonies at either of our beautiful on site locations. Ceremonies may begin from 5:30pm. Please ask our experienced Event Coordinator for further information.

Margan allows you the flexibility to create the perfect celebration for your wedding day, be it small and special or big, bold and fabulous!

Our wedding co-ordinator will assist you to create a unique and memorable day, ensuring that everything is as you have always dreamed and that nothing is left to chance.

For evening weddings you are welcome to full use of all areas within the Margan Estate.

For day time weddings your reception concludes at 5pm, our cellar door will remain open to the public, you have exclusive use of the Barrel room, restaurant, terrace and lawn.

Our stunning rammed earth Barrel Room can cater for small or large celebrations for up to 150 guests. With up to 200 guests for cocktail style receptions.

It provides a striking venue for a wedding with that ‘wow’ factor!

M A R G A N M E N U S E L E C T I O N Margan Restaurant is now in its sixth year and more than ever we are committed to estate grown- estate made. We write our menus around what we are harvesting from our one acre kitchen garden and orchard to maintain a truly season focus. In addition we produce our own olives, free range eggs, honey and lambs. Being farmers, we are committed to looking after the land so that it is able to look after us for generations to come. As such, we are determined to ensure our carbon footprint is as small as possible. Our creative chef team will consult with you to provide a seasonally inspired menu to suit your celebration.

ENTREE SELECTION

• Lightly cured ocean trout, spanner crab, native lime, avocado

• Slow cooked egg, bacon consummè, maple and pistachio

• Slow cooked chicken with charred leek and tarragon

MAIN COURSE SELECTION • Seared swordfish with capers, preserved lemon, raisins

and beurre noisette

• Confit pork belly with cauliflower, miso and buckwheat

• Braised beef cheek with fondant potato, sauteè cabbage and pancetta

• Buttermilk and vanilla panna cotta with poached rhubarb, orange granita

R e d u c e d M i n i m u m N u m b e r sReduced minimum numbers Friday and Sunday night 50 guests or Saturday night minimum 60 guests

E x t e n d e d R e c e p t i o nIf you meet our standard minimum numbers (Friday and Sunday 60 guests and 80 guests for Saturday) we can extend your night to a 6 hour reception including your beverage package at a saving of $10.00 per person and $500 for the additional hour of venue hire

U p g r a d e d M e n uIf you meet our standard minimum numbers you can pay for the simple and elegant dining option $95.00 per person and receive the 3 course indulgence at no additional charge.

During the months of June, July and August we offer a selection of one of the below winter specials. As every wedding is unique and tailored specifically to our Bride and Groom’s needs we have put together a range of options with something to suit your special day.

You can hold a twilight ceremony at 5.30pm in our courtyard with fairy lights strung above, some of your guests holding white lanterns with candles to create the perfect scene for your vows.

Come inside to our cellar door area where your guests can cosy up on the lounges in front of our open fireplace and then move into the Barrel room and spend the evening sipping our award winning wines.

It does not rain any more in winter than any other time of year.
