1. Types of Classroom Observations
a. Invitational The subject teacher invites the subject coordinator to visit and
observe his or her class as an opportunity for the teacher to be observed at his or her best (rated observation).
b. Announced The subject coordinator informs the teacher about a scheduled
visit (rated observation).
c. Unannounced The subject coordinator, without giving prior notice to the
teacher, enters the class he or she wishes to observe.
