CCLS Carnival!The Carnival is just around the corner! October 16 & 17 will be fun days around CCLS, and we arecounting on our entire community to make the Carnival a success! Here are some things you shouldknow:
Each family is asked to volunteer at least 2-4 hours during the Carnival. Sign up today on ourVolunteer Spot page.
You can save money by ordering discounted tickets prior to the Carnival using our online Ticket OrderForm.
To build excitement around our hallways, we will celebrate "Throwback Thursdays" leading up to theCarnival, beginning next week. Students are invited to wear "retro" CCLS Carnival t-shirts (along with
other uniform attire) to school on Thursdays.

We need you!We are trying to complete the CCLSU school bags for kids in Uganda. Wewill be getting together the next two Fridays to sew. If you know how tosew and have a machine bring it with you. If you don't have or machine ordon't have a clue how to sew. We still need your help. You could bring aniron and a pair of scissors. If you can't make it but would like to help youcould take a kit and sew some at home. For kits contact Katie Killian (314-750-3191).

WEBSTER GARDENS - NEW MEMBERCLASSCCLS is blessed to be a community with diverse backgroundsas we nurture our children with a Christian education. Whetheryou have a strong background in the Christian faith or none atall, you are invited to investigate the core beliefs of the Christianfaith as understood by the Lutheran church in a course called, What We Believe at the LutheranChurch of Webster Gardens. While there is no obligation, completion of the class can lead tomembership in the church. Beginning September 27th, the course runs forsix Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:25 am. CONCORDIA KIRKWOOD - New Member OrientationNew Member Orientation will begin Wednesday, November 5for three weeks from 7:00-9:00pm. We invite those interestedin becoming a member to participate in this class whichoverviews the Christian faith and the Christian life shared by

Fall Concerts at LHSSLutheran High School South welcomes you to their upcoming concerts inearly October. On Sunday, October 4, at 7:30 pm, the four LHSS choirswill present their fall concert in South's Kulhmann Center.
The Mixed Women, Mixed Men, Concert Choir, and Lancer Singers aredirected by Greg Gastler. On Monday, October 5, at 7:00 pm, the annualElementary Choral Festival will culminate with a concert directed byfestival clinician Dr. Charles Brown from Concordia University - Chicago.
Students from area schools join together for a day of intense choral experiences in preparation for thisconcert. Also featured on Monday's concert will be the LHSS varsity Lancer Singers and the select JuniorSingers.
There are just a couple of bonuses this week.
1. Bed, Bath & Beyond is offering a 1% bonus from Oct. 3 - Oct. 16. You will receive7%.
2. Cabela's is offering a 3% bonus from Oct. 3 - Oct. 16. You will receive 12%.
