CHARACTER EDUSAVE AWARD
(ECHA)
2016 CHARACTER EDUSAVE AWARD (ECHA) MOE has introduced a new Edusave Character Award (ECHA) to enable
schools to recognise students who demonstrate exemplary character and
outstanding personal qualities through their behaviour and actions. The
award also supports our school’s continuing efforts in nurturing students of
good values and character, who are active contributors and concerned
citizens.
OBJECTIVES:
(a) To signal the emphasis MOE places on character and
values, on par with academic achievements.
(b) To recognise outstanding students who are exemplary in character,
and who can be a role model to inspire others.
2016 CHARACTER EDUSAVE AWARD (ECHA)
CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION 1) The nominee must be a Singaporean.
2) The nominee must, on a consistent basis, demonstrate the
following:
a) School Values: Honour God, School and Nation, Respect ,
Compassion, Teamwork, Integrity and Passion For Learning
b) Conduct Grade must be Very Good or Excellent
c) Level of civic responsibility - students initiating actions
to address school /community issues to improve the lives of
others
d) Resilience - students who have persevered
despite difficult circumstances (e.g. financial problems,
family problems, health issues etc.), and have achieved
commendable results in academic and/or non-academic
domains.

FORM OF AWARD:
The ECHA awardees will receive a certificate and an
award voucher. The ECHA award quanta are as
follows, depending on the level of study:

Ayden Tan Xuanwen , 3 Charity
Ayden is very helpful to both teachers and classmates. He can be trusted
to carry out any tasks given independently to the best of his ability. He is
well -mannered and polite to everyone he meets, thus he is well- liked by
all his friends and teachers.
In class, he can be seen taking the initiative to help out his partner
whenever she needs help in her work. He also takes the initiative to help
others in need without them asking.
As a prefect, he takes his prefect duties very seriously and carries them
out with pride.
When faced with difficulties in learning, Ayden does not give up easily.
He is a self-directed learner and possesses a strong resilience and
determination to understand and complete new and challenging tasks
without giving up. When his classmates around him are having trouble
with their work, he goes down to their level and tries to coach and guide
them along so that they can complete their tasks. For example, during
group work, Ayden checks in often on his group members. If any of them
faces difficulty on their part, he will stop and guide the other person
along and help them out before continuing with his own work.
Ayden demonstrates the school values and is a good role model for all
his classmates in 3 Charity .

Nur Alya Nabilah Binte Rozain, 3 Hope
Despite being the youngest in her family, Alya faces and deals with her
problems very calmly. Her mother commented that Alya is very
independent and will try to solve all her problems on her own first before
consulting others. The same nature is also displayed in school.
Alya is very self-directed in her learning and she does her best in all the
tasks that have been entrusted to her to do. She is always willing to
coach her friends in their work and she has never once complained
about having to do so. Though at times she does show some frustration,
she does not give up easily but will find ways to help her friends.
Alya is also a humble pupil and as a Citizenship Ambassador , she takes
the lead to help to keep the class and school clean and she
encourages her friends to do likewise.
Alya is very friendly and tries her very best to help her new classmates
who join the school later to adjust to the class and the school. She
makes sure she accompanies them during breaks and shows them
around the school, without being reminded by her teachers to do so.
Alya is well-liked by all her classmates and is a good role model to all
her classmates in her class.

Lee Sum Wai, 3 Joy Sum Wai has demonstrated civic responsibility on a daily basis by ensuring that his area in the classroom is neat and tidy. He tries his best to be a role model for his classmates to follow and he gives timely reminders to his friends to help to keep the class clean. At the same time, he carries out his class duties and Junior Leader’s duties with zeal and efficiency.
During the SPCA VIA project in Term 3, Sum Wai demonstrated great enthusiasm to promote the love for animals and helped to push for the fund raising event. He helped to inject fun and energy in the event and encouraged his friends to help out actively in the project. He also volunteered to help the teachers in other ways in this VIA project.
Sum Wai shows kindness to his friends and often accepts how his friends behave or react in different situations. He tries to accommodate to all his friends and will offer to help them whenever they need the help especially when his friends are absent from school. He will offer to help them catch up in their work and willingly shares his knowledge with his friends.
Sum Wai has demonstrated a lot of resilience in maintaining his academic excellence. He thrives under pressure and continues to persevere even though he needs to go through a rigorous routine of different tuition and piano classes on a weekly basis. Despite the fact that he has to undergo the pressure from both school work and external classes, he is able to juggle both well and continues to show an enthusiastic attitude towards everything that he does. He also tries his best in all his responsibilities and does not waiver whenever he faces any difficulty in his tasks. He also learns to ask for help at the appropriate moment and does his own research to help him in his learning.

Christopher Luo , 3 Kindness
Christopher is a respectful boy and displays the desire to learn. He asks relevant questions regularly so as to build on his existing knowledge. He is a pleasure to teach.
He clarifies with the teacher when in doubt. He is not afraid to try new things and always does his work with pride. He is also very cooperative and works well with his peers.
Christopher is a self-directed learner and he always asks questions when in doubt.
Christopher is a thoughtful and considerate student who offers his help readily to his classmates in need especially to the pupils who helps help in their work. He is willing to share his knowledge and resources with his peers during class activities and he displays sincerity and respect in his interaction with his peers.
As a Junior Leader, Christopher demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility and compassion. He is undeterred by setbacks and will always strive to improve on areas that he is weak in. He displays a strong desire to excel as well as the eagerness and the capacity to learn. He works well with minimal supervision during classroom lessons and will always clarify whatever doubts he has with the teacher.
Christopher is indeed a good role model for his classmates and peers.

Siti Aminah , 4 Charity
Siti exhibits the school values and she is a pupil with compassion. During the
CNY Celebration with Geylang Senior Citizens Activity Home, Siti volunteered to
perform the song items and accompany the elderly to their homes. She took
the initiative to engage the elderly in conversation too
In class , Siti also helps her friends in their work. When they are not paying
attention, she will remind them to do so.
Although Siti is relatively weak in her Mathematics, she took the initiative to
approach her Mathematics teacher for help. As a result, she managed to
make steady progress in the subject.
Siti actively works on feedback given to her by her teachers and puts in effort
to improve herself.
Siti excels and does her best in any opportunities given to her. For example, she
was selected to be one of the seven Pupil Ambassador for the
Praise@MySingapura exhibition at the Singapore Art Museum.
Despite being small in stature, Siti gives her best in her badminton CCA and is in
the school team.
Siti also represented the school to achieve 3rd placing in the nationwide My
Dream Shop competition organized for the Mother Tongue pupils.
Due to her strong sense of determination to succeed, Siti is able to excel in class
as well as in her CCA.

Oh Yu Xi, 4 Diligence
Yu Xi is a diligent and well-mannered pupil. She is a helpful and
sensible pupil who takes the initiative to remind her friends to
keep the classroom and school environment clean through role-
modelling. A compassionate leader, Yu Xi helps her friends
willingly and has also participated in the P4 Junior Prefects’ VIA
project to promote awareness to care for animals and helped
raised funds for SPCA.
Yu Xi is also a hardworking pupil who has positive attitude towards
learning. She strives to do her best in all her subjects. She is very
self-directed and can often be seen taking notes for revision. She
also tries her best to learn from the mistakes in her written work.
For example, she takes care to mark out questions that she did
not do well in so that she will know how to improve on the areas
that she is weak in. She also takes her teachers’ advice seriously
and is not afraid to ask questions to clarify her doubts.
Yu Xi is confident , mature and leads by example. She has self
discipline and confidence. She is a good role model to all her
peers and is able to influence them to do what is right.

Javier Huang Yong Qi, 4 Grace
Javier is cheerful, warm and helpful. As he is also very patient and
caring, Javier is very popular among his peers.
Javier is a compassionate pupil who demonstrates high empathy and
care for the elderly during his VIA experience. He has also received
compliments from the teacher in-charge who noted his care for his
peers during an outing.
Javier has been the shoulder buddy for a classmate with special
needs. He demonstrates a high level of compassion towards him and
understands his need. There are many times when the buddy would
have sudden outbursts in class and Javier is always at hand to help his
buddy to calm down. He is very patient as he takes the time to explain
to his buddy what is expected of him in his work and behaviour as he
is able to recognise that his partner needs additional care and
concern. He has never once complained about his buddy nor even
requested for a change in seat.
In his CCA , Javier carries out his duty responsibly and with pride too.
Javier is indeed an exemplary model to his peers and a joy to teach.

Shania Lee Yi Xuan, 4 Joy
Shania is always eager to offer a helping hand to her peers in their school work. She has a down-to-earth personality and is calm and patient when assisting them.
A self-directed learner, Shania rallies the class to come up with a performance for Teachers’ Day. She also volunteers to participate during the VIA project with the Geylang East Activity Centre in Term One. She was very enthusiastic during the performance and puts in effort to interact and bring cheer to the elderly.
She demonstrates resilience in her school work too. She does not give up even though she has done well in some of the class tests. She strives to improve and learn from her mistakes.
She was very keen to do best during the P4 camp. She demonstrates resilience by participating actively in all the activities even though she admitted that she was very tired and sleepy during some parts of the camp. Her enthusiasm is influential and her encourages her friends to do their best too.
Shania is a joy to teach as she is sensible and responsible pupil who never gives up.

Robert Ming Zhi Peng Scott, 4 Kindness
Robert is a cheerful pupil who is always keen to help his
teachers and friends. He is self –directed in his learning and
participates actively in class discussions . He also has the
ability to communicate and express his ideas clearly to his
friends.
Robert demonstrated resilience during challenging family
situations . He co-operated with his teachers and managed to
overcome the difficulties at home to stay focused in his
studies . He hands in his work on time and despite the odds,
Robert persevered in his studies and managed to achieve
excellent results in his examinations.
In his Soccer CCA, Robert is an enthusiastic and active
participant. He encourages his peers to do likewise and is a
good role model to them in the way he manages his time
between his studies and his CCA.

RIZUANA BEGUM BINTE SHEIK MOHD IBRAHIM, 5 Charity Rizuana is a responsible pupil who shows respect for her peers and
teachers. She is able to follow instructions well and is very helpful
towards her classmates. She is also capable of motivating her peers to
do better.
Rizuana is sensitive to the feelings of her classmates. She often offers
words of encouragement to her classmates when she observed that
they were feeling down. She also takes the lead to remind her friends
to be attentive in class and takes the initiative to rally her classmates to
decorate the CCE board.
Despite having challenges in her studies, Rizuana has a positive
attitude towards learning. She does not give up and she perseveres in
doing her best .
Rizuana is a reliable and confident CCA leader who exemplify good
character to her peers. She shows compassion and is effective when
carrying out her duties such that her peers are comfortable to
approach her when they need help.
Rizuana often offers her help to the junior members during group work
and shows leadership qualities that enable her to gain respect from
the other members in the CCA.

Sheryl Yeo Sze Rui: 5 Diligence
Sheryl takes pride in her work. She is very responsible
and accomplishes her task to her best ability. She is
resilient and has the ‘never give up’ spirit.
Sheryl will put in her best effort to complete a given
assignment. She shows determination to complete
her alternative assessment when she meets with
some difficulty. She continues to work on the task
staying after school voluntary, not wanting to give
up.
Sheryl does her work diligently and is able to stay
away from all distractions so that she can focus on
learning in class. Despite facing challenges in her
school work, she is able to seek help from her
teachers to overcome her challenges. She adopts a
positive and teachable spirit and thus she is able to
do her best in her studies.

Bella Batrisya Bte Azman, 5 Faith
Bella has a positive attitude towards learning. She is self-directed
and self-motivated. She takes the initiative to clarify and seek
help from teachers and peers when she is in doubt. Despite a
challenging family background , Bella is able to stay positive and
she is determined to succeed. She tries not to allow her family
situation affect her.
Bella always has a smile on her face and tries to bring a smile to
others as well.
Belle is a responsible and reliable class monitor. She volunteers to help her friends in their work too.
Bella joined Netball this year, and she has proven to be one of
the most valuable players in the team. Although she was
introduced to game only at the beginning of the year, in less
than 3 months, she managed to represent the school in the East
Zone Netball Tournament. She showed great determination in
mastering the netball rules in a short time and always gave her
very best on the netball court. Her positive attitude,
determination and her sportsmanship makes her a good role-
model for the other netball girls.

Yeow En Qi Allene, 5Grace
Allene is a polite and respectful pupil who is well-liked by her peers.
She is passionate about her work and she also helps her peers in their
studies when they need help.
Allene is also enthusiastic in serving the community and she always
adopts a positive attitude when doing so. For example, she will visit
Geylang East Home for the Aged on every Sunday at Aljunied
Crescent to volunteer her service . She interacts with the elderly and
donates food to them to show concern for their well-being. At times,
while volunteering her services at the Home, Allene faced difficulties
but she persisted in her efforts .From her voluntary involvement, she
has shared some of her meaningful experience with her friends and
this has also inspired and motivated some of her friends to consider
doing voluntary work outside school during their free time.
As a member of the Girls’ Brigade and Library club, she participates
actively in her CCA and contributes insightful ideas during discussion
with her peers. When asked to carry out any duties or responsibilities,
she will not hesitate to assist in these duties.
Allene does not giving up easily in her studies. Though she is not strong
in her English language , she is always seeking ways to improve herself.

THIVESHRAJ SEGARAN, 5Hope
Thiveshraj is a responsible and respectful pupil. He takes initiative
to care for his classmates.In the Media Club, Thiveshraj shows
respect and commitment and he gets along well with his friends. `
In Atheletics, he is committed to the CCA. He takes part in the
competitions and is diligent in training. He respects the teachers
and he demonstrates team work.
Thiveshraj is the Math and Science monitor and is a good role
model as he displays initiative and diligence in carrying out his
responsibility well. He displayed responsibility in helping the
teachers get the materials ready and Science room prepared.
He is also honest and sincere in his words and actions.
Thiveshraj demonstrates passion and enthusiasm in volunteering to
serve others.
He offers help to his teachers and classmates readily.
Thiveshraj exhibits resilience and displays positive attitude towards
learning. He does not give up easily and seeks clarification from
classmates and teachers whenever he faces any difficulties in his
school work.

Yeo Qing Yu, 5 JOY
Qing Yu is a capable and determined student. Her maturity and
independence give her unwavering persistence in understanding
knowledge and concepts taught. Her capacity to receive
instruction is shown in positive dispositions and hence a worthy
candidate for this award.
Qing Yu is mature and dependable. She is very responsible and
carries out work assigned diligently. She is also a self-directed
learner,
Qing Yu is a well-mannered, gentle and thoughtful pupil. She
demonstrates passion for learning by paying attention in class and
submitting her assignments on time. Her work is consistently neat.
In her CCA, Chinese Dance, she is a valuable member, a
responsible CCA leader and a role model for her juniors. She is
dedicated to her CCA and takes her practices seriously. As a P5
level rep, she carries out her duties diligently and she is dedicated
to her CCA.
Qing Yu is a Senior Prefect. She is a good role model as she
demonstrates the school values consistently.

Ng Jing Kai, Jobe, 5Kindness
Jobe demonstrates the school values consistently on a daily basis. He helps his peers in a silent and steadfast manner, and always serves others’ needs before
his own. Amongst his peers, he is well-liked for his kindness and compassion towards everyone around him and his peers never hesitate to be generous with their praises for Jobe.
His peers also look up to him for having a high level of integrity. He is gracious in his words and eads by example in the way he carries himself . Despite being
known to be excelling in his character and academics, he is never boastful about his successes. Most of his peers feel comfortable around him and approaches him readily for help.
Jobe also contributes to his class community greatly by being very generous in his knowledge and inspires his peers through his ability to be nominated for various school competitions e.g. E2K, Math Olympiad etc. He takes the initiative
to research on areas not covered thoroughly in class and posts them on Edmodo to benefit and extend the class learning. His peers acknowledge his successes and look up to him based on his ability to bring pride to the school academically. They look up to him being able to rise up to the occasion as a true leader who does not lead by authority and command, but by respect.
Jobe has been consistent in all areas of demonstrating school values, civic
responsibility and resilience. He walks the talk in his daily words and actions and treats everyone around him with a serving and caring spirit. All his teachers and peers have observed his quiet determination in self-improvement and through this will, comes his natural ability to lead and inspire others.
As a CCA leader, he put in his best to ensure the club runs smoothly. He is a role
model for the younger club members through his actions too.

NURSAZLINA BTE SAZALI, 6Charity
Nursazlina is passionate about learning and hands in her work on time. Although
she is not academically inclined, she strives to attain good grades and she does
not give up easily. As an FAS pupil, Nursazlina is appreciative of the help given to
her from the school and she does not take what she has for granted. Instead,
she always choose to be a blessing to others by offering her help whenever it is
needed.
In class, she is diligent in handing her work on time and she is self-directed in
finding out on how to do the difficult problems.
During Helpdesk (extra remediation), Nursazlina attends her lessons regularly and
encourages her classmates to do likewise.
Nursazlina is forthcoming in rendering her service when she sees that the
teachers and peers needs help. She takes pride in her work.
Nursazlina exercises self-discipline and is considerate towards her peers as well to
her teachers. Being the eldest in the family, she is a natural leader and teachers
can easily entrust her with any responsibility. She is a good role model for her
peers to behave appropriately in class and is honest and sincere in helping both
her peers and teachers.
Nursazlina has a lot of initiative even though she does not hold any leadership
role. She takes ownership of her work and adopts a positive attitude towards
learning. She is indeed a good role model and inspiration to her peers.

Nicole Emmanuelle Phuntsog, 6Diligence
Nicole has a positive attitude towards her work. As she knows
she is weak in her grades, she works tirelessly to improve her
reading and stimulus-based conversation. She practices almost
daily under the tutelage of Miss Lee (school librarian). She has
done herself , her parents and the school proud by showing
tremendous improvement in her English grades.
Nicole has a “Never give up!” attitude in class. She makes it a
point to ask questions when she has problems in her work. She
does all her school work neatly and carefully and hands them in
on time.
Nicole is a very helpful group leader. She looks after her group
members and reminds them to do their homework. She is also
very kind and gentle in her interactions with them and she looks
out for her friends who needs extra help in their work.
In the GB, Nicole is a group leader too . She is a gentle and
well-mannered girl who attends her CCA regularly. She is also a
good role model to the junior girls under her care.

NurShabna Bte Shaik Salaudeen, 6Faith
Shabna is a quiet but hardworking pupil/ She is self-directed in her learning and yet she does not hesitate to render a helping hand to others. She would readily and patiently coach her peers who are weaker in their learning in class or during her ELDS sessions.
In Primary 5, she volunteered her time to assist her teachers in manning booths during the Health Week and National Day Food and Funfair as she enjoyed serving others with a smile. In Primary 6, she also approached her teachers to volunteer to stay back after school to offer assistance in any way that is required ( Examples: cleaning and decorating the class, preparing of class materials etc)
As an assistant class monitor, Shabna carries out her duties diligently .
Shabna has a passion for learning and is receptive to feedback from her teachers. She listens attentively in class and tries to improve on her work.
For example, in English class, she would jot down notes on descriptive phrases she can use for her composition and attempts to infuse them in her writing. With her teacher’s feedback, she strives to improve on her writing each time she writes a new composition draft to ensure that she produces the best quality of work she can muster.
Although Shabna is weaker in her Mathematics ,she strives to learn from her mistakes and ensures that she does not repeat them. She also does her classwork and home assignments daily with due diligence and clarifies with her teachers if she is unsure of her work. She is studious pupil and revises in all her subjects to make improvements
As a result of Shabna’s hardwork, she has improved in her academic performance during the Prelims examinations and when her progress was highlighted to the class, she remains humble, continues to push herself out of her comfort zone and strives for excellence.
In her CCA , Shabna takes initiative to teach her peers the drama skills during ELDS, disciplines her younger peers in a respectful manner and shares her knowledge and resources readily.

Yoon Jia Bao, 6 Grace
Jia Bao displays a spirit of excellence in his work. He is also honest and respectful in his interaction with his classmates. He often helps his classmates who are in need. For example: There is a pupil in class who finds it difficult to get along with everyone. Jia Bao helped this classmate by being a buddy to him and reminding him to do what is right.
Jia Bao does not give up easily in his studies and seek clarification in his studies whenever necessary. He always tries his best and he inspires his peers with his positive attitude.
Once Jia Bao contacted shingles. Despite the pain and discomfort, he wants to learn by taking the initiative to ask for homework when he could not attend school.
As a librarian, Jia Bao is a responsible pupil who takes his job seriously and enthusiastically. He is also a helpful mentor to the younger librarians.
Jia Bao is a joy to teach and a blessing to the people around him.

Clara Tan Yue, 6 Grace
As a class monitor, Clara is fair and kind to her classmates. She
often helps her peers who are in need of help. Once, she
volunteered to lead a class project to design the class T-shirt by
getting her peers to design the T-shirt and gathered information
to look for vendors to print out the T-shirts. She is a responsible
class monitor and does her duties faithfully. She does not give
up easily in managing the class even though there are a
handful of pupils who are difficult to work with.
In her studies, Clara also demonstrated perseverance and has
a “never-give-up” attitude.
In the Girls’ Brigade , Clara is also helpful and passionate in
taking care of the junior members.
She demonstrated resilience and perseverance in the drill
competition in her Girls’ Brigade too . This year, she continues to
demonstrate a high level of care for her junior members in the
CCA.

Ngo Shu Hui , 6 Hope
Shu Hui takes initiative in assisting her teachers and peers when they are in need. She does not give up when she encounters any difficulty, be it in assignments or when she carries out her responsibilities as a vice head prefect.
There was a time when she did not do as well as expected for one of her tests. Her resilience and diligence enabled her to continue trying with a positive and cheerful attitude, and her results improved in the next test. She made sure she asked questions in class and she would approach her teachers during recess or after school to clarify her doubts whenever necessary. She managed to inspire some classmates, who would tell themselves that if Shu Hui can persevere and do well, they could do it too.
Shu Hui is always respectful and takes initiative to help. She is self -directed and motivated to learn . In CCA, she takes initiative to help set up the bells before CCA, even if it means coming in earlier than the others.
Shu Hui demonstrates the school values and is a good example for all her classmates to follow.

Tang Chi En, Charleen, 6Hope
Charleen takes initiative in assisting her classmates when they are in need.
She has a very positive attitude towards learning and perseveres when
faced with difficulties in her learning. When her classmates have problems
with their assignments, Charleen also offers her help readily by explaining
the concepts or sums to them.
There was once she was struggling with a Math question and her
classmate offered to give her the answer. She refused her classmate
politely, saying that she wanted to try and solve it on her own first. Her
determination to learn and overcome challenges on her own is
admirable.
She has inspired her classmates by encouraging them to do well too. One
of her classmates has commented that Charleen’s encouragement has
given her the determination to study harder and to do better in her
examinations.
Charleen is also an honest pupil. Once , she saw an old lady drop her
wallet outside school. Charleen picked up the wallet and ran after the
lady to return the wallet to her.
Charleen is self reflective and takes responsibility for her mistakes. She
demonstrates the school values and is a good example for all her
classmates to follow.

SEOW CHONG EN LARRY, 6JOY
Larry has a positive attitude towards learning. He demonstrates resilience as he does not give up easily .He tries his best even when he faces challenges in his learning. Despite intense training for basketball competitions earlier this year, Larry still managed to keep up with his assignments and caught up on the lessons that he missed.
Larry demonstrate civic responsibility by volunteering his help whenever he sees someone in need. In school, he renders his help to his classmates and teachers readily.
Larry also served the community by participating in 2 VIA activities this year. He helped to raise funds for the long-term staying patients in the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) for the continuous welfare of these patients, as well as helped to take care of patients in the St Andrew’s Nursing Home by doing simple chores such as folding bed sheets.
Larry is consistent in his work and submits his assignments on time. As an ICT monitor, he discharges his duties diligently and effectively. He displays self-discipline and stays on task with little supervision.
Larry is soft-spoken and shows respect to his peers and those in authority. He is proactive and takes pride in his work.
Larry is a also dedicated CCA leader and captain of the basketball team. He takes the training seriously and guides the younger members along. He often helps to render support in the sport events organized by the school too.
Larry is indeed a joy to teach and good role model to his friends.

Nigel Tan, 6 JOY
Nigel role models exemplary behavior and upholds school values.
He volunteers very enthusiastically for various projects and events
for good causes even when it is not compulsory. Despite his busy
schedule, he finds time to volunteer in projects such as fund raising
for SPCA and participating in activities organized by the Spore
Kindness Movement.
Nigel often reflects on his actions and takes responsibility for his
mistakes
Although Nigel faces difficulty in his Mother Tongue, he continues
to persevere. As a result, his result in Mother Tongue improved over
the last 2 years. When he does not know or understand how to do
the Mathematics problem sums, he does not give up. He always
seeks clarifications from his teachers when in doubt.
Once, his mother was not feeling well, he continued to persevere
and worked hard on his own.
Nigel is respectful to all and he is a good role model to his peers.

DIANE TEO MIN XUAN, 6 Kindness
Diane demonstrates all the school values and she is a good role model for her classmates to follow. She is very responsible and is full of initiative. For example, she took it upon herself to gather a few friends to design the class T-shirt. She used her free time during weekends to source for a vendor to print the class T-shirt too. She also helped to collect orders from her friends , discussed with the vendor for a good price and helped to distribute the T-shirts to her classmates after that. She did all these because she loved the class.
Diane has a positive attitude towards learning too. She tries hard and is always willing to offer a helping hand to her friends who need help in their work.
Diane is also a great team player and is able to rally all her classmates and prefects to work together for a common goal.
In her Handbell CCA, Diana makes sure she comes in earlier to help set up the bells so that practice can start on time. She takes the initiative to help pack up after every session and is able to do it with the other seniors with minimal supervision from the teachers.

VANESSA LING ZU-ER, 6Kindness
Vanessa demonstrates all the school values . She is
respectful towards her teachers and peers. She has
the vision and the capability to pre-empt problems
and look for solutions. She has initiative and
demonstrates the eagerness to go the extra mile
when required. For example, she would share her
notes with her peers when they needed it. She would
also help her classmates by putting aside their
homework when they are absent. Due to her friendly
and compassionate nature, she is well-liked among
her friends and is often seen as a positive role model.
Vanessa is self directed in her learning and strives
hard to achieve good results. She is committed to
excellence and demonstrates maturity in her thinking
and analytical skills. As a learner, she is not afraid to
seek clarifications when in doubt. She is humble and
respectful of all despite doing well academically.
