Lord - Levi Bell
Hi, my name is Levi Bell. I am in Second Grade and I am homeschooled. I am 7 years old. I
have five siblings: Jacob, Caleb, Isaac, Eli, and Abigail. I am the second youngest. My parents
are Ruth-Ann and Brian Bell. My mommy’s a judge. My daddy runs shows. He’s a leader and
she’s a leader.
I raise black, chocolate, broken chocolate, blue, broken blue, and broken black Havanas. I also
raise white New Zealands, Silver Fox, Californians, black, blue, and chocolate Tans, and have
just started raising Mini Lops. I have red, black and golden agouti American cavies. I like to play
with the rabbits. They are so furry. I like to hold them and pet them. I like the cavies because
I pet them, I hold them, I play with them, and they sit on my lap. Someday I want to raise
Flemish Giants. Someday I want to be a judge.
I am a member of the Fur and Feathers 4-H Club, Dauphin County 4-H Youth Club,
Pennsylvania State Rabbit Breeders Association, MARCS, Lebanon Valley Rabbit Breeders, and
the East Coast Havana Organization. I like to help at shows with setting up and tearing down.
I like to help other people with their rabbits. I like to help write for my mommy when she judges. I like to help at
Farm Show and Ag Progress Days at the PaSRBA booths letting people touch the rabbits and cavies.
Besides the rabbits and cavies, I have Nigerian Dwarf goats, Buff Orpington chickens, Pekin ducks, and I have a cat
that is named Aeronca. My goats names’ are Jack, Chocolate, Peony, Lilac, and Rose. I like to play with bikes,
scooters, toy cars, and toy airplanes. I like to play with mommy and daddy and my siblings. We like to go kayaking
together. I like to go flying with Mommy, Uncle Neil, and Daddy. I like to go to church and go to AWANAS Club. I like
to square dance and am a part of the Juniata County Junior Hillbillies square dance set.
Thank you for letting me be the ARBA Lord. I will try to do a very good job to teach and encourage others.
Lady - Elsie LuBean
My name is Elsie LuBean and I am 7 years old and I am a second grader at Helen Baller
Elementary school in Camas, Washington. I am a Cloverbud in the Bunny Brainiacs 4-H Club in
Clark County, Washington where my mom is my 4-H leader. I am also a member of the
American Rabbit Breeders Association and Washington State Rabbit Breeders Association
which I joined when I was 5 years old. I have a little sister and a little brother.
I raise two breeds of rabbits, Holland Lops and Palominos. I have ten rabbits altogether. I do
showmanship with one of my Holland Lops who is a broken black doe named FiFi. I like to play
with my rabbits in the outside running pen and I am hoping to learn to do rabbit agility with one
of my Palominos at our county fair.
Besides rabbits I also raise chickens which we use for their eggs. We raise Rhode Island Reds
and Barred Rocks. The chickens love me and let me pick them up while I am playing in the yard.
We also have a white cat named Maisy who is a Turkish Angora and are getting another kitten
soon from my aunt’s farm. I like to visit my aunt’s farm because I love her goats but we don’t
have enough land to have goats where we live.
Outside of rabbits I play softball, read books (and stay up late at night reading past bed time) and write stories. I also
like to do math, play legos, and play with my friends at school.
I would like to say thank you to everyone who has helped me with my rabbit project, especially my Mom who is my
4-H leader, my Grandma who gave me my first rabbit, and my friend Avery who helps me study and practice
showing my rabbits. I am very excited to be American Rabbit Breeders Association’s Lady for 2015 and look forward
participating for many years!
Prince - Isaac Bell
Hi! My name is Isaac Bell. I live in Lebanon County, PA. I am ten years old and am in 6th grade in
my homeschool that we call the Bell Academy. I have four brothers, one who is my twin, and one
little sister. I am number three in line out of the six of us.
I am involved with the Fur and Feathers 4-H Club in Dauphin County, PA. Mrs. Lori Jo is my leader.
I am also involved with the Pa State Rabbit Breeders Association and the Lebanon Valley Rabbit
Breeders Association. My brothers, sister, and I raise black, broken, and chocolate Havanas, black
Silver Fox, White New Zealands, Californians, Tans, and Mini Lops. We also raise red, black, and
golden agouti American cavies. I show my Havanas and New Zealands and like to do showmanship
with them. I help at shows by watching rabbits and cavies that are put on the table. I also help by
writing for judges at shows. I like to help with whatever I can at all shows and fairs that I go to. My
mom is a rabbit judge and I like to go to shows whenever I can with her. I was the 2013 American
Rabbit Breeders Association Lord and the 2014 ARBA Prince. I have helped my mom and other
friends set-up and tear down shows and fairs, including ARBA Convention, the PaSRBA
Convention, the PA Farm Show, and the Lebanon Area Fair. Someday I would like to be a rabbit judge because I like
to raise rabbits.
Besides our rabbits, I raise Nigerian Dwarf goats. I like feeding, watering, and haying my goats and cleaning out
their pens. We also have Peking ducks and buff Orpington chickens. I have many different 4-H projects including
rabbits, cavies, poultry, goats, vet science, pet care, and cooking. I love that I am learning lots of different things
and being responsible. This past summer I got to teach kids from Nicaragua about raising rabbits for meat. I hope
to be able to visit Nicaragua soon with my family and 4-H Club so that we can help them more.
Besides playing with animals, I like to ride scooters and bikes with my brothers. I like to fly in our family’s Taylorcraft
whenever I can. I would like to be a pilot someday and would like to live close to my mom and dad so that I can fly
with them. I really like to kayak with my family too. It’s lots of fun. I also square dance and am in the Juniata Junior
Hillbillies square dance set. We compete at the PA Farm Show in January.
Thank you for letting me be the 2015 ARBA Prince. I look forward to teaching others more about rabbits and being
an example to other kids. And I hope to have a good time.
Princess - Erin Johnson
Hello, I am Erin Johnson from Benton, KS. I am eleven years old and a sixth grader
at Benton Grade School. This is my fifth year of being involved in rabbits. I started my
project in Butler County, KS 4-H, and my first show was the 2011 Butler County Fair.
I showed three rabbits at that first show. This year at the 2015 Butler County Fair, I
showed 9 rabbits and most of them I had raised myself. I was excited to win grand
champion again with one of my Himalayans I had raised from my own stock.
Going to the ARBA National Convention in Pennsylvania and Dallas was great. Those
were my second and third National Conventions and it is always fun to show outside
of Kansas. Wining Lady my first year in ARBA was a special experience that I’ll never
forget. It has motivated me to continue to work hard for the Princess competition
again this year.
My goals for my fifth year are improving my lines through my breeding program and
to continue to improve my knowledge for contests such as Showmanship, Judging
and Breed ID. I really love being involved in rabbits and the people I have met. I have made so many new friends
showing rabbits and enjoy meeting some many wonderful people who share the same passion as I do at each and
every national convention I am fortunate enough to attend with my family.
This year my younger sister, Emma, is participating in the Princess Royalty with me which is exciting. She helps me
more than anyone else in doing chores and caring for all the rabbits, so I’m excited to see her do well. Our little
brother Weston is five years old and we both hope he will have the same enthusiasm as us with rabbits and
participate in shows with us in the future. I have been very fortunate to be able to participate in such a wonderful
project, and I have so many people to thank for it. I want to thank all the people that have helped me achieve my
goals, especially my friends Dianna Gaunt, Tom Little, and Gary and Yvonne Michaud, as well as my parents who
support my passion for the rabbits.
Duke - Jacob Bell
Hi, my name is Jacob Thomas Bell. I live in Lickdale, PA. I am 13 years old and am in 8th grade in
my cyber-school curriculum. I am the oldest of 5 boys and 1 girl. My mother and father are
Ruth-Ann and Brian Bell. My mom is a licensed ARBA judge. My mother and father both run the
Pennsylvania State Rabbit Breeders Association Convention in Lebanon, PA every February. My
parents were some of the highest people helping to run the 2013 ARBA Convention in Harrisburg,
PA. I love rabbits and cavies and I love to learn about them.
I raise black, broken, and chocolate Havanas, white New Zealand, black, blue, and chocolate Tans,
and Silver Fox rabbits. I also raise golden agouti and red American cavies. I am involved with the
Fur and Feathers 4-H Youth club in Dauphin County, PA. I am the Superintendent for the Dauphin
County Youth Clubs Rabbit and Cavy show. I was the 2012, 2013, and 2014 Pennsylvania State
Rabbit Breeders Association Prince. I was also the 2013 ARBA Prince. I am the 2015 PaSRBA Duke.
I like to fly in my family’s 1946 Taylorcraft BC-12D. I also like to fly in gliders with my mom. I love
to play with my cat. My cat’s name is Aeronca who is named after a type of airplane. We have
Nigerian Dwarf goats. I have Buff Orpington Chickens and Pekin Ducks. I hope to have pigs before the end of the
year.
I want to be a rabbit judge and pilot when I grow up. I also want join the Air Force. I want to be in the air force
because my uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and others are and were in the Air Force and I want to serve my
country. I want to be a pilot because I have been flying since I was born, my mom and dad are pilots, and I love to
fly. I want to be a rabbit judge because my mom is a judge and I like learning about different breeds and meeting
new people.
I love to go to rabbit and cavy shows because I like to learn, talk, and meet new people. I enjoy teaching people
about showmanship, rabbits and cavies. Thank you for letting me be the ARBA Duke.
Duchess - Caitlin McCabe
I am so honored to be the 2015, ARBA Duchess. My name is Caitlin McCabe, and I am 14 years
old and I live in West Linn, Oregon with my parents. I am a freshman at West Linn High School,
and I'm very excited to be selected for this award. I've been raising rabbits for 10 years now
and have 14 Netherland Dwarfs, 2 Californians, and 2 American cavies. I love my menagerie of
otters, opals, and meat rabbits, as well as my two carrot loving cavies. I enjoy participating in
4-H activities and love showing my rabbits. I'm also involved in art, creative writing,
sewing/fashion revue, cooking, public speaking, horticulture, and pigeons. On our 1 acre farm,
we grow pumpkins and sell them in the fall to a local store as well as from our farm stand. So,
all of the money that we make goes towards the college fund for my brother and me. We spend
our summer hoeing and fertilizing (sometimes with the help of my rabbits) it so that they'll
grow.
I enjoy participating on my school's track and field team in shot put and discus, where I set a
new record in girls’ shot put. I have also been playing the viola for 7 years.
In the future, I hope to expand my rabbitry and create an award winning meat pen. I love rabbits and there isn't a
day that goes by that I don't think about them. I hope that after I graduate college I might be able to start my own
royalty rabbit club where ever I live and let other kids learn about rabbits as I have. I would also like to become a
judge one day, and I am currently working towards my registrar’s license. I think all kids should have a chance to be
in 4-H or royalty, because it isn't just fun, it teaches you lifelong lessons like how to cooperate with others. I hope
that in the future I'll be able to become a part of the youth royalty program and help run the contests and make them
even better than they are now and my goal is to make royalty available to every interested youth member.
I'd like to thank Pat Partipilo who I purchased my first dwarf from and my special club leaders Vanessa and Tomalene
Borquez for helping me and answering all of my questions. They've always helped everyone in my club and have
always gone the extra mile for us. I'd also like to thank my parents for encouraging me all along the way and letting
me turn our house into a rabbitry, even though my mom's allergic to them. I'll always love rabbits and 4-H.
King - Garrett Sanders
Hi, my name is Garrett Sanders. I am honored to be your 2015 ARBA King. I live in
Bloomington, Indiana and am 17 years old. Rabbits have been a huge part of my life for the
last 7 years and I look forward to continuing in this hobby for many years. I am very active
in 4-H and FFA. Competing in the Royalty program is one of my favorite parts of raising
rabbits. I would like to thank anyone who has ever shared their knowledge or experience
with me. This hobby is unlike any I have seen. Everyone is so helpful and willing to go out of
their way to help me succeed. Special thanks to my very supportive mom and dad. Without
them none of my achievements in rabbits would be possible.
Queen - Christine Toering
I am Christine Toering, and this is my third year competing at ARBA Nationals. I live in Tucson, Arizona and show all
four varieties of Himalayan. I currently have twenty-seven rabbits, but I plan to get more in
the future. I started showing rabbits eight years ago, when my brother bought a pet rabbit,
then we joined rabbit 4H. I fell in love with this hobby, and the Himalayan breed. Last year
I won Best of Breed, two Best of Varieties, Best Senior of Breed and Best Junior of Breed at
the youth Himalayan Nationals. I went to ARBA nationals for the first time in 2012 and I won
ARBA Duchess. This was my third year competing at ARBA nationals, and I was very excited
to be doing royalty. Kay Moreno, Andrea Fagan and especially Shannon Estes have helped
teach me so much, without them I would not be here. I don’t know how anybody could ever
know so much about rabbits as they do. Right now I have twelve black Himalayans, three
blue Himalayans, two chocolate Himalayans and two lilac Himalayans. Laurie Adams and
Melissa Magee helped me a lot with my Himalayans, their bunnies are just gorgeous. I hope
to become a judge in the future, and I feel that competing in Royalty is the best way to
practice my judging and knowledge. I recently obtained my registrars license, and I want to
thank Kevin Stanford, Sean Anderson, Bill Estes and Joey Shults for helping me with that. I also want to thank
everybody that put on Royalty at ARBA Nationals, and everybody that helped put together this convention in
general. Everybody in the rabbit community is so helpful, I hope that one day, I will be able to help somebody just
as they have helped me. Thank you!
