Brothers of AlphaEast,

In accordance with Article III, Section 2.3 of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity – Constitution, the leadership of the Eastern Region is pleased to present this official Convention Call for the 83rd Annual Eastern Region Convention of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, to be held March 25 – March 29, 2015 in Newark, New Jersey.

As Alpha Men, we have been gifted with the burden of caring and upholding the light of this great fraternity. As we convene in Newark, New Jersey our emphasis will be “Leadership through Stewardship” with a focus on how we are responsible for the thorough management of our fraternal house and individual homes. Our application of this visionary theme will continue to propel AlphaEast forward in “Leading the Way” in preparing our brothers for the greatest usefulness in conducting the work of Alpha.

It is apropos for this congregation of Eastern Region Brotherhood to be held in “the Garden State” with the Marriott Newark Liberty International Airport serving as our host hotel.

Socially, the Brothers of New Jersey will ensure we are pleased with a variety of entertainment and sporting options from the Seton Hall Pirates at the Prudential Center, golf courses within a 20 mile radius of the hotel, Liberty State Park, the Library Science Center and Newark Museum, a ferry service to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty – just minutes away, along with numerous nightclubs, bars and restaurants, shopping centers and a plethora of other attractions.
