    Summary of Agreement between SEIU Local 925

    and the University of Washington

    Effective July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2017

    No Take-aways Contract additions valued at well over $25 million.

    Across the board pay increases, market adjustments, preceptor pay, restraint

    pay, empty steps

    3.0% across-the-board raise on July 1, 20152.0% across-the-board raise on July 1, 2016Market adjustments for 1043 membersRestraint pay premium of $1.30 for UWMC Security OfficersPreceptor pay of $1.50 for Respiratory Care PractitionersAn increase in preceptor pay for Surgical Techs from $1.00 to $1.50Empty pay steps in healthcare pay tables B2, B6, and B9 will be 1% instead of 0%Effective July 1, 2015, all regular, non-hourly employees whose salaries do not equal $2080 per month

    (equivalent to $12.00 an hour) will be placed onto the next pay step on their current pay range that is not lessthan $2080

    The University commits to move Medical Assistants to a healthcare pay table on a range that results in a payincrease and that is competitive with the peer labor market, effective January 1, 2015

    The University agrees to review the Nuclear Medicine PET Technologist, Nuclear Medicine TechnologistLead, and the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Supervisor pay ranges and the differential between them and

    will adjust to no less than 5% as needed, effective January 1, 2015

    Better union access to members in the workplace

    Ability to get formal discipline letters removed from personnel files after three years without incidentAgreement to meet quarterly to address wage issues based on market rates, recruitment/retention issues,

    advance certification/registration pay, and/or wage compression issues

    UW parking shall be provided at each campus for which suspended operations have been declared for anystaff member designated as essential by their supervisor

    A joint committee of SEIU925 members and EH&S management will work together to recommend a planfor process improvements for tracking employee requests for ergonomics assessments

    A joint committee of SEIU925 members and UW representatives will explore and propose methods toimprove access to written and electronic policies and procedures

    Gender identification added to Nondiscrimination article

    Tech parity between UWMC and Harborview Medical CenterSide Letter HMC Like Titles renewal with additional classifications: Cardiac Sonographer 2 and Lead,Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Supervisor, END Technologist 1, 2, 3, Vascular Sonographer and Lead will beadded to the like titles list that links HMC and UWMC wage increases.
