INTRODUCTION

Dear Friend,

We help and support each other in very special ways at DSES. The impact of our efforts changes lives, giving new direction and real hope to people with disabilities of all ages.

Children, adults, seniors, wounded warriors from recent and earlier conflicts back to the Korean War, seek and received the best possible sports therapy. They are guided by our staff,our extraordinary volunteers and who teach them how to conquer fears and overcome physical and mental barriers.

Last year DSES continued to grow and became a stronger organization. Two new board members were recruited, Penny Bordokas and Stacey Adler; our Advisory Council has expanded to over 75; our planning for the National Wounded Warrior Center has made great progress, including receiving generous grants and organizational approval from the Patriots Initiative.

With this 2015 Annual Donor Report, I wish to express my deep and most sincere gratitude to everyone who makes our family flourish…our dedicated Board of Directors, Advisory Board members, generous donors, skilled and dedicated volunteers and staff.

Last year, DSES had a record number of requests for skiing and snowboarding lessons from kids, teens and adults with disabilities. It was a challenging but great year. This year, we want to get even more people out there to help everyone feel the magic of Mammoth. And our mission is to help everyone, regardless of financial ability to pay.

But to recruit and train volunteer instructors and staff, buy the best adoptive equipment technology has to offer…we count on your support. You and other donors give us the resources to operate one of the finest adaptive sports programs in the country. I hope you will respond generously so that we can continue the life-changing programs of Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra.
