 Nowadays, forests in the most part of the world have decreased significantly in the caused by human

activities for example land conversion and illegal logging. There are more than one million per year

areas of forest have been converted to plantation, mining and settlement. Furthermore, the woods

demand in the global market place is increasing and triggering to illegal logging. In my opinion, thegovernment should be more concerned with addressing these issues and takes and important action as

follows.

To begin with, the government and related stakeholders have to work together to solve these problems.

They need to maintain sustainability of forest in Indonesia in order to give benefit not only for this

generation but also for the next generation in the future. For instance: public awareness campaign,forest and land rehabilitation as well as the conservation programs. Next, government has to make an

appropriate regulation of policies with strict implementation. The lack of law enforcement caused

deforestation in many area.
