The2014/2015financialyearsawDestinationSouthernTasmania(DST)cementitsplaceasakeystakeholderintheTasmanianTourismindustry.
DSThasplayedasignificantroleinfacilitatinglinkagesthroughouttheregionandbringingindustrytogethertogenerateoutcomestoenhancethestate’svisitoreconomy.
Ournewmanagementteamhasembracedthechallengesandopportunitiesofaregionaltourismorganisation(RTO),focussingonregionaldispersal,advocacyandindustrydevelopment,thethreepillarsofourorganisation.
ItiswithmuchpleasurethatDSTpresentsits2014/2015AnnualReport.WetrustthatitwillcommunicatethepassionandenergythattheorganisationbringstothetourismcommunityinsouthernTasmaniaanddeliveringonourorganisation’sgoals.

ThroughtheimplementationoftheDestinationManagementPlan(DMP),DSTseekstoassistincoordinatingthedevelopmentoflocaloperators,andinturntheirproducts,experiencesandindustryskillsthatwillattractvisitorstothoseareas.
AkeyelementofachievingthishasbeentheestablishmentoftheSupplySideunitwithintheDepartmentofStateGrowthandtheopportunityforinputbytheRTOsinestablishingdevelopmentandinfrastructureprioritiesfortheirregions.
OnbehalfoftheindustryIacknowledgeandthankthePremier,theHon’WillHodgmanMPandhisGovernmentfortheircommitmenttotheregionaltourismstructureandforthecontinuedfinancialsupport.
WhiletheRTOsarebeinggivengreaterresponsibilitiesinfosteringtourismgrowthintheregions,itisimportanttheybeadequatelyresourcedfromthepartnershipofStateGovernment,LocalGovernmentandtourismoperators.
IwouldalsoliketoacknowledgethosetourismbusinessesthathavejoinedasmembersofDSTandencouragealloperatorstosupportthisregionaleffortthroughmembershipandothercooperativeactivities.
TheDSTBoardcontinuestoattractamixofskillsandsectorrepresentationandIthankallDirectorsfortheirvaluedcontributionsandparticularlythankDeputyChairman,MalcolmWells,forcontributinghisvasttourismexperience.
TheappointmentofMelindaAndersonasChiefExecutiveearlyintheyearbroughttotheroleconsiderableregionaltourismandorganisation
managementexperience.MelindahasembracedtherolewithenergyandenthusiasmandwethankherforsuccessfullyrepresentingDSTtoalllevelsofGovernmentandindustry.Ialsothankthoseofhermanagementteamforcontributingtoasuccessfulyear.
WithleadershipfromtheTasmaniaTourismIndustryCouncil,theTasmaniantourismindustryhasbecomeincreasinglywellco-ordinatedinrecentyears.
AnincreasingresponsibilityforthedevelopmentoftheindustryintheregionshasbeengiventotheRTOs.DestinationSouthernTasmaniaiswellpositionedtoeffectivelycoordinatethiseffortinsouthernTasmania.

TheroleoftheRegionalTourismOrganisations(RTOs)hasbeenconsolidatedduringthisthirdyearofoperationandDestinationSouthernTasmania(DST)hasmadesignificantprogressinitsthreekeyrolesofindustrydevelopment,advocacyandregionaldispersal.Particularly,DSThasmadeprogressinitsstrategyofsupportingindustryoperatorsandCouncilstoattractmorevisitorstotheirregions.

Ourfocusduring2014/2015hasbeentoimplementthesouthernTasmanianDestinationManagementPlan(DMP),whichprovidesaroadmaptoachieveourgoalofdrivingregionaldispersalthroughprivateandpublicinvestment,industrydevelopment,visitorservicingandcreativemarketing.
Ourmarketingprogramfocussedstronglyondigitalmediaengagement,digitalcontentacquisitionandgenerationaswellassocialmediachanneldevelopment.Thisincludedthereinvigorationandlaunchofourconsumerfacingwebsitewww.hobartandbeyond.com.auinFebruary2015andrelaunchofourhobartandbeyondInstagramaccountthefollowingmonth.DST’sspringemagazinewasreleasedinSeptember2014,downloadableasaflipbookandviaaniTunesapp.
Withtheseimproveddigitalchannels,ourmarketingandadvertisingprospectusformembersandindustryprovidedarangeofcooperativeactivitiesincludingwebsiteadvertising,socialmediaengagementsande-magazineadvertisements.Wealsoofferedcruiseseasonactivityandpartnershipopportunities.
DSTagainpartneredwithTasports,CityofHobartandTasmanianTravelandInformationCentretoprovidepromotionofmembersandindustrytopassengersarrivingon34cruiseshipsintoHobart.PosterdisplayswereprovidedintheMac02terminalandoperatorswereabletopurchaseparkingpermitsoutsideMac02tooffertoursandexperiencesdirectlytocruisepassengers.
Otherpartnershipsincludedthe12monthMonaIndustryCampaignandfourmonthsofdigitaladvertisingactivitywithJetstartosupportTourismTasmania’sspringcampaign.PainttheTownRedwasagainwarmlyreceivedbyindustryandthelocalcommunity,aDST-ledinitiativeencouragingindustryto‘lightupred’andaddvibrancytoHobart’sDarkMofowinterevent.
DSTcoordinatedactivitiestosupporttheCricketWorldCup2015inMarchanddevelopeda
micrositespecificallyforCricketWorldCupofficialsandmedia,showcasingourregionandoperators.WealsohostedafamiliarisationfortheScottishCricketTeamandcoordinatedafinaleventinSalamancaSquare.
DSTworkedinpartnershipwithCityofHobartandNorthMelbourneFootballClubtoexploreopportunitiesandmaximisetourismbenefitsfromAFLinHobart.ThisincludedtheJune2015launchofatourismmicrositeforNorthMelbourneFootballClub’s40,000members.Here,DSTmemberswillcontinuetoshowcasevalue-addofferingsacrossa12-monthperiodtoencourageregionaldispersalaroundgames.
DSTcontinuestoworkwiththelocaltourismassociations(LTA)tobuildindustrycapacityandensuretourismbenefitsflowontolocalcommunities.WewerepleasedtohostanLTAforumtobringsubregionalrepresentativestogethertoidentifysharedpriorities.ThisyearDSTworkedwithHuonValleyKingboroughTourismAssociationtoimplementacooperativecampaignfeaturingmagazine-styletelevisionsegmentswithlocalradiopersonalities“DaveandKylie”.ThiswassupportedbydigitalactivitieswithsocialinfluencersandJetstarmediaadvertising.WealsoengagedwiththePortArthurTasmanTourismAssociationtodeliverregionalactivityusingJetstarmedia.
WeworkedcloselywithTourismTasmaniaontheTravelIndustryRoadShowtoMelbourne,SydneyandBrisbaneaswellassupportingfamiliarisationsandfacilitatingprizesforretailtravelagents.WealsointroducedregularindustrypresentationstoTourismTasmaniastafffromDSTmemberstokeepourstatetourismorganisationinformedofdevelopmentswithinourregion.
DSTundertookaspringcampaignwithTasVacationsaimedatgeneratingawarenessandconversionofsouthernTasmanianaccommodationandexperiences,particularlyleveragingoffactivitiesthroughnationalmotoringorganisations.

IthasbeenanindustriousandexcitingthirdyearofoperationforDestinationSouthernTasmania(DST),aswefocussedoncementingourplaceasavibrant,dynamicregionaltourismorganisationforTasmania’spremierregion.

membersthroughourHighlandstoHarboursnewsletterandregularemailupdates.Ourcorporatewebsitewww.southerntasmania.com.auispopulatedwithnews,industryupdatesandrelevantresearch.Weprovidedopportunitiestogaincontemporaryindustryintelligence,facilitatingworkshopsincludingOnlineReputationManagement,GearingupforChina,CruiseTourism,ThreeCapesTrackandregionalbranding.
Ourmembershipsatisfactionsurveyhighlightedmemberswereseekingindustrynetworkingandopportunitiestolearnfromeachother.WeintroducedTipsandTipplesinFebruary,aregularnetworkingforumwithdiscussiontopicsfacilitatedbyindustryexperts.Themeshaveincludedworkingwithmedia,tourismawards,InstagramandTourismTasmania’smarketingcampaign.
Ourcommitmenttoindustryadvocacyisongoing.DuringthepastfinancialyearDSTprovidedlettersofsupportforgrantapplicationsandcoordinatedsubmissionsfromlocalcouncil’sfortheTourismDemandDriverInfrastructureFund.
DSThasalsobeenavoiceforanumberofindustryissues,includingreallocationoffundingearmarkedforCadburys,roadinfrastructurethroughoutthesouthernregion,investmentinnationalparksinfrastructureandsupportforAFLfootballinHobart.
OurrestructuredteamwelcomedanewCEO,MembershipandMarketingCommunicationsExecutiveandExecutiveAssistanttothe
organisationduringtheyear.JaredMendhamandAnneMenegat,joinedMembershipCoordinator,NickCourtney,andmyselftocompleteourteam.
IwouldliketothankoutgoingCEO,BenTargettandacknowledgeKarenFraserandLaraineDunnfortheireffortsandlegacyinassistingtoestablishDSTasthepeakregionaltourismbodyforsouthernTasmania.
DSThasoperatedwith2.5fulltimeequivalentstaffformostof2014/2015.Ithasachievedasignificantprogramofactivitieswithlimitedresources,testamenttothehardworkofitsteam,ablysupportedbyitsBoard,ledbyChairman VinBarron.
Wethankourmembersfortheircontinuedsupport.Weareproudtorepresentourmembershipbaseandareexcitedabouttheupcomingyear.Wehaveacleardirection,ensuringwedeliveronourgoalstodriveregionaldispersalandmaximisetourismbenefitstolocalcommunities.

key outcomes
2014/2015hasseenincreasedvisitationacrosssouthernTasmania,withstronggrowthfromdomesticholidayvisitorsandkeyinternationalmarketssuchasChina.
Over80percentofallvisitorstoTasmaniavisitsouthernTasmania.Ourgoalsaretobuildcapacityofindustrytorespondtovisitordemand,deliveringqualityexperiencesandtoensurethebenefitsofthevisitoreconomyflowthroughouttheregion.Ourpriorityactivitiestoachievethishavefocusedonastrongindustrymembershipbase,digitalmarketing,partnerships,industryeducationandregionaladvocacy.
MembershipDSTistrulyanindustryledorganisation,with179membersfromacrosssouthernTasmania.Weweredelightedtowelcome44newmembersthisyearaswecontinuetogrowandevolvetomeetindustryneeds.
Digital MarketingOurconsumerfocusedwebsite www.hobartandbeyond.com.auwascompletelytransformedwiththenewsitegoingliveinFebruary2015.OurobjectivewastobetterrepresentsouthernTasmaniathroughanewwebsitedesignedtoenhancehowsearchenginesdiscoverourcontentthroughkeywordexposure.Forexample,contentwithinourwebsiteisaveragingatopfiverankingonmorethan300keysearchterms.
SocialmediaandcontentgenerationisaprioritymarketingactivityforDSTasacosteffectivewaytoreachtargetaudiencesandsharethestoriesofourregion.WehaveinvestedsignificantlyinboostingourHobartandBeyondFacebookandInstagramactivityaskeychannelstopromotesouthernTasmania.OurFacebookfanshavegrown95percentto7,800andInstagramfollowershaveincreased874percentto5,883withanaverageengagementof257likesperpostupfrom33thepreviousyear.
WeheldourfirstInstameetatMtFieldinMayfortheFagusFestival.Thisgeneratedareachofover285,000.
PartnershipsPartnershipsarekeytoleveragingDST’sandtheindustry’slimitedresources.AkeyobjectiveofDSTistofocusoneventsasamajorstimulatorofregionaldispersal.ThisyearwedevelopedpromotionalprogramsfortheCricketWorldCup2015andNorthMelbourneFootballClub,workingwithindustryandstateandlocalgovernmentstakeholderswith72localoperatorlistings.
WecoordinatedtheHuonValleyKingboroughTourismAssociationautumnmarketingprogramwiththesupportofHuonTrail.ThisincludedworkingwithSouthernCrossTelevisiontogeneratemaximumexposurefromadvertisingspend,includingnegotiatingairtimeduringthehighratingSundaynews.

WeworkedwithlocaltourismassociationsandoperatorstodevelopafourmonthdigitaladvertisingprogramwithJetstartosupportTourismTasmania’sactivitywhichsawClickThroughRates(CTRs)thatperformedupto670%betterthanthestandardJetstarCTR.
WeareproudtocontinuetoworkwithMonatoprojectmanageitscooperativeindustrycampaignprospectus,with34participantssigningupinMarchforthe2015/2016campaignperiod.
Industry EducationAkeyachievementthisyearwastobuildourindustryeducationprogram.OurOnlineReputationManagementMasterclasswithinternationalguruJimBrodyattracted90attendeesinNovember.
OurTipsandTipplesinitiative,aregularseriesoffreenetworkingevents,encouragesmemberstolearnfromeachotherontopicalthemes.StartinginMarch,DSThasheldfoureventsattractingover200attendees.
DSTconductedaCruiseTourismForuminconjunctionwiththeTasmanianTraveland
InformationCentreandTasportstoprepareoperatorsforthe2014/2015cruiseseason.Itattracted50participants.DST,throughKarenFraser,wasalsocommissionedbyTourismTasmaniatoproducetwokeydocuments,“HowtoWorkintheCruiseIndustry”and“AGuideforCruiseandExpeditionShipsinTasmania.”Thefirstwastargetedtooperatorsworkingin,orlookingtoworkinthecruisesectorandthesecondwasdesignedtoprovideinformationforcruiselinecompaniestoassistitineraryplanningforTasmania.
AdvocacyAdvocacyforregionalissuesisanongoing,longtermstrategybutweweredelightedthatover$360,000offundingwasachievedthroughtheTourismDemandDriverInfrastructurefundingprogramforprojectsinsouthernTasmaniathatsupportprioritiesinthesouthernTasmaniaDestinationManagementPlan.

MarketingWehaveacleardirectiontofocusourmarketingeffortsontheintrastatemarketandongroundvisitorswhilstalsosupportingTourismTasmania’sactivitiesthroughtheprovisionofregionalcontent.OurjobistofacilitateinterestinthesouthernTasmanianregionandsupportoperatorstodrivevisitationtotheirownbusinesses.Wewillcontinuetofocusoureffortsoncreativedigitalmarketingchannels.Wewillseektoleverageoffbothbusinessandleisureeventstostimulateregionaldispersalasafeatureofourmarketingplan.
Building Industry CapacityWehavereceivedsomeadditionalfundingfromStateGovernmenttosupportourindustrydevelopmentrole.WelookforwardtoworkingcloselywiththeDepartmentofStateGrowthasakeystakeholderinsupplysidetourismactivitiesandworkingtodevelopacoordinatedstatewideapproachwithotherregionaltourismorganisationstosupplysidepriorities.
Aspartofourroleinindustrycapacitybuilding,wewillcontinuetobuildonourindustryeducationprogramincludingtheintroductionofanannualsouthernTasmaniantourismindustrysummitandapeerdrivenawardsprogram.
Membership and PartnershipsWearefocusedonenhancingandstrengtheningourrelationshipwithour11localgovernmentpartnersandourlocaltourismassociationsaskeystakeholdersinthesouthernTasmaniantourismindustry.Wewillcontinuetobuildandstrengthenourmembershipbase.ItisvitallyimportantthatDSTcontinuestoberepresentativeofourindustryandresponsivetoitsneeds.Thisdrivesouradvocacyagenda.
In2015/2016wewillfocusonrefiningourmembershipsystemsandstructuretoprovideefficienciesinternallyandexternally.Ourannualmembershipsurveyisanimportanttooltogatherfeedbacktoensureourmembershipprogramisrelevantandprovidesastrongvalueproposition.

DSTisveryexcitedabout2015/2016.TheDSTteamofstaffandBoardofDirectorshasbeenrefiningitsbusinessplantodevelopapracticalapproachtoimplementingkeyprioritiesintheDestinationManagementPlan.

The2014/2015yearhasseencontinuedhardworkbytheAssociation’sCommittee,witheffortsbeingchanneledintomarketingactivitiesandalsolobbyingforareviewoftheHuonValleyKingboroughTourismSteeringCommittee/HuonTrailstructure.
ElectionsatourlastAnnualGeneralMeetingfailedtofillallcommitteepositions,however,additionalmembershavebeenappointedthroughtheyearandEricaBritcliffehaskindlyactedasMinuteSecretary.
Membershipfortheyearstoodat52businessmemberships,notvaryinggreatlyfromthepreviousyear.
TheAssociation’saccountingsystemhasbeenupgradedwiththeintroductionoftheMYOBaccountingprogramandwhilecreatingadditionalworkforTreasurerSandyGarlandinsettingupthesystem,itwillbetimesavingandprovidemoreaccuraterecordkeepinginthefuture.
Industryrepresentatives,throughtheHVKTAhaveservedontheHuonValleyKingboroughTourismSteeringCommitteethroughouttheyear.
Thisyearasumof$20,000.00fromtheHuonTrailMarketingBudgetwasallocatedtotheHVKTAtospendinconjunctionwithDSTonmarketing
activities,themostsuccessfulofthesebeingajointradio/televisioncampaignfeaturingmediapersonalities“DaveandKylie”.Thiscampaignalsoattractedindustryfundingandduetoitspopularitywasextendedbeyondtheoriginallyintendedscreeningtime.
ThethreeminutepromotionalvideofeaturingaMyKitchenRulespersonalitywascompletedearlyintheyearandhasbeenwellreceived,beingplayedonTourismBrochureExchangescreensonboardtheSpiritsofTasmania,inAirportTerminalsandsomemajoraccreditedVisitorInformationCentres.
AssociationmembershaveassistedinmanningtheHuonTrailmarqueeattheAustralianWoodenBoatFestival,TasteoftheHuonandAgfestevents,creatingandincreasingtheawarenessofthetourismproductonofferintheregion.
DestinationSouthernTasmaniaCEOMelindaAndersonhasprovidedvaluablesupportandassistancetotheAssociationthroughouttheyear,andforthisweasanindustryareextremelygrateful.
WithsteadilyincreasingvisitationtoHobart,theAssociation’saimforthecomingyearistoincreasetheflowofvisitorscomingsouthfromHobart.

ThelastyearhasonceagainseenacontinuedconsolidationofPATTAasthelocaltourismassociationworkingcloselywithDestinationSouthernTasmania(DST)onvariousmarketingandmembershipinitiatives.DST,withtheassistanceofPATTA,alsodeliveredasuccessfulwinterpromotionalcampaignthroughJetstar’sonlineadvertisingprogram.
NewtourismproductsintheTasmanRegion,suchasBangorWineandOysterShedandthePortArthurLavenderFarmhavenowfirmlyestablishedthemselvesassignificanttourismdrawcardstotheregionandpopularityoftheMcHenryDistilleryandtheTasmanianWhiskyTrailcontinuestogrow.Similarly,whilethecompletionofthe$7millionrestorationprojecttothePenitentiaryatthePortArthurhistoricSitereceivednationalacclaim,theawardingofAustralianTourismAwardstothePortArthurHistoricalSiteandPennicottWildernessJourneysobtainedsignificantcoverageandhasconsolidatedtheregionasa“mustseeandstay”experience.
TheThreeCapesTrack,aworld-class,multi-daywalkingtrackwillopeninNovember2015withonlinebookingsavailablefromSeptember.Thewell-graded,artfullyconstructed46kmtrackwillshowcaseCapePillarandCapeHauy,aswellasthestunningnaturalfeaturesandsceneryoftheregion,includingAustralia’shighestseacliffsandspectacularoceanviewsandprovideincreasedopportunityfortourismactivitiestobuildupon.
LocallyrunregulareventssuchastheEaglehawkAnnualFair,AustralianBluefinChampionships,Heritageweekend,TasmanRegattaandTaste,GarlicFestival,BreamCreekShowandmonthlyBreamCreekMarket,aswellastheNubeenaandEaglehawkmarketsareallgreatreasonstoengageourvisitorsintrulylocaleventexperiences.FurtherworldclassfishingandsurfingatShipStern’sBluffandunforgettablecoastalvistascontinuetogainprominencethroughsocialmedia.
PATTAhasalsobeenworkingcloselywithLendLeasewhichhaschosentheregiontoconductathreeyearemployeedevelopmentprogramfocussingoncommunityandbusinessdevelopmentprojects.Tourismisonemajorprojectwhichaimstoincreasevisitationandovernight
staysintheregion.KeyoutcomesincludetheestablishmentofaConvictTrailapplicationformobilephonesandthedevelopmentofanew“activitydriven”TasmanRegionwebsite,bothofwhicharescheduledforcompletionpriortothecommencementofthetouristseason.

Overthepastyear,theDVTA(formerlytheRiversRunTourismAssociation)hascontinuedtoworktowardconsolidatingandbuildingitsmembership.Ourmembershipremainssmallbutstableandmonthlymeetingscontinuetooccurtodiscusstheissuesthatareofimportancetoourmembership.
Attheassociation’sAGMlastyear,thenameoftheassociationwaschanged,alongwithrulechangesthatallowtheassociationtofocusmorestronglyontheDerwentValleyregion.
DerwentValleyCouncilcontinuestosupporttheassociationwithbothitsCouncillorandofficerrepresentativesplayinganactiveroleintheorganisation.TheCouncilhasalsomadesomefundingavailableforspecificprojectsduringthecomingyear.Projectsunderconsiderationincludeanupgradedwebsiteandanupdatedmap,whichmembersfindveryusefulfortheirvisitors.
TheDVTAhastworepresentativesontheDerwentValleyCouncilEconomicandGrowthSpecialCommittee.ThisCommitteewillbeworkingtostarttheimplementationoftheSTEPSPlanfortheDerwentValley.Thisplanwasdevelopedafterwideconsultationwithcommunitystakeholdersandlistsanumberoftourismandotherrelatedactionsthatwillhelptoseeimprovedtourismoutcomesforthearea.
SeveralmembersfromtheDVTACommitteeorganisedaStallattheDerwentValleyAutumnFestivalthisyear.Althoughsmall,thestallwasverysuccessfulandhelpedtopromoteourarea.
TheTasmanianVisitorSurveyshowsamarkedincreaseinpeoplevisitingtheDerwentValleyinthelast12months.Althoughmanyoperatorsreporthavingoneoftheirbestyear’sonrecord,theissueofregionaldistributionofvisitorsremainsa
vexedissue.ManyoperatorsintheDerwentValleycontinuetofeelthatthepromotionofregionalvisitationandtouringshouldhaveastrongerfocus,tohelpmovevisitorsthroughfromHobarttomoreoutlyingareas.TheDerwentValleyandsurroundingareasareanidealplaceexploreTasmania’sSouthWestWildernessfrom,yetthatmessagedoesnotseemtobecuttingthroughatthispoint.WithMtFieldNationalParkexperiencingsomeofitshighestvisitornumbersonrecord,andthecurrentfocusonwildernessexperiences,nowwouldbeanidealtimetoensurethatareassuchastheDerwentValleyarewellpromotedandcanreachtheirfullpotential.Thisrequiresacooperativeapproachbetweenorganisationsandindividualbusinessesintheareatocapitaliseoncurrentvisitornumbers.
TheDVTACommitteehasagainfacedtheperennialissueofalackofhumanandfinancialresourcestoachieveitsaims.InorderfortheAssociationtoremainviable,thosewith‘skininthegame’needtoparticipateandhavetheirvoicesheard.Asinpreviousyears,thereisasmallanddedicatedgroupofmemberswhocontinuetoflytheflagfortheDerwentValley.Thisgroupwilleventuallyrunoutofsteam,soIwouldurgememberswhohavenotbecomeinvolvedtocomealongtooneofourmeetings,ortocontactmeandputtheirideasforward.
Althoughnowonastablefooting,theDVTAhassomewaytogobeforeitcansaythatittrulyrepresentstheinterestsoftourismoperatorsintheDerwentValley,thiscanonlybeachievedwhenoperatorsengagewiththeorganisationandwecanworktogetherforthefutureoftourisminthearea.

TheHHTRA,foundedin1998,isthepeaktourismbodyforthemidlandsofTasmaniafromPontvilletoPerth.TheregionishometosignificantheritageattractionsincludingWoolmers,Brickendon,RossBridge,CallingtonMillandShene.Naturalandculturallandscapesprovidefurtherattractionsforvisitorstothearea.
TheAssociationisfundedbythreeTasmanianCouncils–NorthernMidlands,SouthernMidlandsandBrighton.ABoardconsistingofrepresentativesacrossthethreelocalgovernmentareasmanagestheoperationsoftheorganisation.
Theperiod2014/2015hasagainbeenabusyonefortheHeritageHighway,withanumberofcurrentandnewactivitiesbeingdelivered.
SeveralnewmembersjoinedtheBoardin2014/2015,bringingwiththemnewenergy andvigour.
Throughout2014/2015theAssociation
continuedtomarkettheHeritageHighwayregionanditsproductsacrossanumberofmediachannels.AVisitwithConvictioncampaignhasbeendevelopedandlaunched,includingadvertisingfacilitatedbyDST(RedDeckerBus)aswellasprint,digitalandradioelements.
SignificantresourceshavebeenappliedtosupportingHeritageHighwaywebandappproducts.Arenewaloftowntear-offmapsandanewregionalmapareindevelopment.
TheAssociationispresentlynegotiatingapartnershipwithDSTwherebysocialmediaactivitieswillbedevelopedanddeliveredonbehalfoftheAssociationbytheregionalorganisation.
