The Last Change To Get The Experiences And

In my family, I am the only my father’s son who is studying in college. My father doesn’t has

elementary school diploma and my mom is only graduated in senior high school. I think my family’s

education level is low. A few year ago my mom said to me “How if my parents had money at that time, I

would have got to college then”. I always remember that words. It is my job that I have to be graduated

from college to fill their dreams. And so inspire my family. But, I think graduated from the college isn’t

enough.

My father often says that experinces are everything. I agree with him too. Until Senior High

School, I never become an active student. So, I had no more experiences than my friends in that time.

It’s my fault. In the college, I realize that experience is very very important for everyone. Whatever the

experience, especially organization experience. This though raised when I met some friends in college. I

see the differences between them. My friend who ever followed organization has good speech and good

time management. They follow many events but their studies are good as others’. I want to be like

them. College is my last change to get the experiences.

In my first year I joined Himpunan Mahasiswa Geofisika (HMGF) Universitas Gadjah Mada. I

know many things from it. Especially everythings that I need to know. In this organization I knew that an

event has many steps so that it can run well. The committee has to be able to work together. And in this

organization I know 2 inspiring persons. They are mbak Ayu and mas Dwiki. They are awesome people.

They are Society of Petroleum Engineering (SPE) boards too and they had been selected as delegation

Vacation Trainee from my geophysics department. It’s awesome, isn’t it? From them I know that if we

have great dream, we have to get higher level of education. We can start it from joining the

International organization that has the same aim as your dream. We can meet the people who has the

same aim as yours. So that we can share many informations to each other. I have a dream to work in oil

& gas industry. I think my better change is joining this organizations, Society of Petroleum Engineering

(SPE).

Otherwise, my neighbor in my hometown has low level education and low economics. I want to

get job in oil & gas company that especially has fieldwork in cepu like Mobil Cepu Limited (MCL) or

Pertamina EP Cepu or the others. After that I wanna share my experiences so that they will be

motivated to get the higher education and they will have better future and better economics.

The reason that I want to join the international organization is to get new experience. Each

organization has their own unique activity, especially international organization like SPE UGM SC. SPE

has Student Chapter in many colleges in the whole world. It means that SPE UGM SC is awesome

organization. I really wanna be part of SPE boards and contribute to this organization so much.
