    A Sower went out to sow:

    The Servants of Mary and

    the New Evangelization

    Mission CompletedOn 8 August 2014, the day began with morningprayer at 9.00 a.m.,followed by a presentation byfra Franco M. Azzalli, () on the theme of Path/Tradition of the Servants of Mary for the new evan-gelization. As usual, after the presentation, therewere clarification and questions. In the afternoon,the groups worked to answer to the question howto foster the commitment to the new evangelizationin the Servite Family at local level? At 7.00 p.m.fra Oscar M. Aguilera Acosta(/), presidedover the Holy Eucharist. After the supper, we went

    to a restaurant, where a musical and dance showwas organized, almost all the participants took partin it.

    On 9 August 2014, we began the days work a littlelater, because of our late night the previous day.We prayed at 9.00 a.m. in the Conference hall. Itwas the day for sharing some different experienc-es of Servite life.The lay Diaconia of Buon Consiglio (Grazianoand Teresa Ruberti - Rome) and the lay Diaconiaof Accoglienza(Mauro and Elena Moretti - Rome)

    shared their Experience of the new evangelizationin the family context.Mr. Rgis Bergonier, president of (International Servite School Network) shared hisExperience of the new evangelization in the educa-tion field.Fra Gino Alberto M. Faccioli, () who works inthe Shrine of Our Lady of Monte Berico (Vicenza)told us of his Experience of the new evangelizationin a Marian shrine.Fra Benito M. Moresco, (), pastor of our par-ish in Quilmes (Buenos Aires-Argentina), spoke ofhis Experience of the new evangelization in theparish.Sr. Maria Rita Andrade, (), a sister who worksin a pastoral community at Cod-Maranho in Bra-zil, shared her Experience of the new evangeliza-tion in the pastoral involvement.Srs Emilia Eugenio and Felizmenta Alfredo,Cloistered Servite Nuns from Mozambique relatedtheir Experience of the new evangelization ad gen-tes.With the Eucharistic Celebration presided over byfra Bernard M. Thorne, (), we concluded ourday of testimony of the lives of our brothers and

    sisters, which encouraged us to go forth with a newvision of evangelization.

    Pilgrimage to Monte SenarioOn 10 August 2014, at 6.45 a.m. we started our pilgrimage towards Monte Senario to honor our Seven FirstHoly Fathers and to return to our Spiritual roots. The community of Monte Senario welcomed the participants ofthe congress with great joy. We felt the fragrance of holiness on the mountain of Monte Senario, where ourSeven First Fathers, along with the other saints and blesseds, brothers and sisters of our Servite Family hadlived- Fra Ferdinando M. Perri(), Conventual Prior of the Community presided over the Holy Eucharist inthe Church of Monte Senario. Soon after the lunch, there was a guided visit to the Church, cloister and commu-nity by fra Camille M. Jacques, () for Italian and French speaking group; fra Giovanni M. Sperman, ()for Spanish and Portuguese speaking group and Miss. Esther Buenfil Patrn, () for English speakinggroup. Around 4.15 p.m. at the foot of the Monumental Cross, there was a moment of prayer guided by fra Ca-mille M. Jacques, (). The prayer concluded with a meaningful gesture. All the participants were invited toapproach the cross, to surrender all their crosses (difficulties) and to receive symbols: soil, seed, sprout andstone in a small bag along with the image of Seven Holy Founders. After this great spiritual experience, we re-turned to Collevalenza with joyful hearts.

    Conclusion of the Congress and DepartureOn 11 August 2014, at 9.00 a.m. we began the day with the Morning Prayer in the conference hall. There fol-lowed evaluation of the congress. The Message of the VII International Congress of U 2014 emergedbased on the theme, presentations and reflections of the groups. At 12.00 noon, fra Gottfried M. Wolff, thePrior General presided over the Eucharistic Prayer and declared officially the closing of this Congress.After lunch, we wished each other Godspeed and returned to our homes with the hope to meet again at the

    next Congress.
