The Bible is clear that men have been given a calling to shape future generations as we father our own children and as we represent God the Father’s heart to the fatherless of our nation. A recent Canadian study called “Hemorrhaging Faith” reveals the reality of the spiritual battles facing children and youth who grow up as part of a Christian community, and it also reveals that one of the main factors in the spiritual health of children is the spiritual health and life of men. This is one of the reasons why we are so passionate about the work of Promise Keepers Canada. We believe that as we help men to become all that God has designed them to be, we are also creating a culture where men are positively impacting future generations. During our recent “Stronger” National Men’s Conferences we held a time of prayer for men to pray for each other as fathers, and a time of prayer in thanking God for our own fathers. One man whose life has been impacted by Promise Keepers Canada brought his teenage son with him to Stronger. During this prayer time, this young man stood in front of a small group of men and asked if he could pray a blessing over his dad. That father was overwhelmed by what was happening. Several months later, he attended another one of our conferences – this time bringing two more of his sons. During this conference, these young men recommitted their lives back to Jesus. Again, dad was overwhelmed by what God was doing in the life of his family. We want to share with you a quick update on the ministry as we hit the half way point of 2014. More importantly, we want to invite you to be part of what God is doing to shape generations of men in this country, and how these men are having a godly impact in every area of our nation. Dear friends,Father’s Day reminds me of the incredible influence God has given to every man.

More importantly, we want to invite you to be part of what God is doing to shape generations of men in this country, and how

these men are having a godly impact in every area of our nation.

This is an important moment in the history of our country. We must continue to press forward to ignite and equip men to have a godly impact. Our children and grandchildren are watching.

Your brother in Christ,

Kirk Giles President

Summer is usually the slowest time of the year financially for Promise Keepers Canada. Please consider a one time gift to help us cover our significant expenses as we prepare for the fall ministry schedule.

a new season of conferencesStarting in October 2014

More than 5,100 men attended Promise Keepers Canada Men’s Conferences in the spring of 2014. Now we turn our attention to a new season of conferences with the theme of “Fearless”.

1 Samuel 12:24: Only fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.

Men are often controlled and consumed by fear. The fear of the unknown for our jobs and relationships leaves many men stressed out. The fear of failure leaves other men stuck rather than pursuing the life God has called them to.

Far too many men are either afraid and living with apathy and stress, or afraid of nothing and leaving a trail of damage in the lives of so many.

Fearless will call men to discover the freedom that comes when we fear only God and call other men back to fearing only Him. This conference is designed to challenge men to walk in the fear of the Lord as a daily lifestyle, and to allow the great things God has done for them to shape how they will do great things for others in the name of Jesus.

The Fatherless ProjectHundreds of men have been trained during the past year to mentor children from father absent families.

What’s Happening:

“Since the last Calgary meeting he has been working with a few boys in his area. He has been taking two boys specifically every other Sunday to church and this past weekend they both gave their lives to God.”

“Since you were here on April 30, two new Volunteers have joined as volunteers at CityKidz— men who were at the Workshop —and they are speaking with a third. They are very excited about what happened at the Fatherless Project Training Session!”

This Fall:

Fatherless Project training sessions will continue to be hosted in communities across the country. Webinar training is also available for men who express interest but are not able to attend a live training.

A special lunch information meeting will be held at Fearless conferences across the country to help men learn more about The Fatherless Project.

missions tripThis past spring, we partnered with EduDeo ministries for a missions trip to Belize. Here is what one man said about his experience:

I’m overwhelmed when I sit and watch the children and realize the difference the Betsons are making in their lives. That they are giving these kids a chance at life. Without an education and a hand up their future is pretty dim. I feel tremendously blessed to be able to have a very small part in the lives of these beautiful children. to witness 13 men from across Canada work in total unity, was truly inspiring. The two younger guys, under 16, did not miss a beat.
