Opportunities
The West Bloomfield Parks and Recreation Commission (WBPRC)
seeks to provide a valuable return to our sponsors in terms of
exposure and advertising, while finding new funding sources to
build upon programs and services to our community.
There are many opportunities for businesses to support the vision
and work of the WBPRC which can be scaled to accommodate nearly
every marketing budget. Our sponsorships provide companies and
organizations an opportunity to achieve a high degree of visibility
within the local community through customized programs that fit
your specific needs.
Community Wide EventsThese events are free to the community and have broad-reaching appeal. They garner the highest attendance and provide the maximum exposure for our sponsors.
Oak: $5,000 ($6,000 in-kind)
Maple: $2,500 ($3,000 in-kind)
Hickory: $1,000 ($1,200 in-kind)
Specialty EventsThese events typically have an entry fee and are more tailored to a specific interest. These are great events to reach specific population targets within the local community for a great value.
Oak: $1,000 ($1,200 in-kind)
Maple: $500 ($600 in-kind)
Hickory: $250 ($300 in-kind)

community Wide eventS
Hot Summer Nights Concert SeriesFive concerts presented on Wednesday evenings, mid-July to mid-August at the newly renovated Marshbank Park.
Audience: 100-300 people per concert

Kids Komotion Concert SeriesThree entertainment productions for kids. Music, magic, and puppetry are just a few of the genres presented on one morning a month during June, July and August.

Fall Fest (October 5)
Crafts, carnival games, bouncers, a petting farm and live entertainment make this a fall celebration for kids and parents alike.
Audience: 900-1,300 people

Winter Fest (February 8)
This outdoor event features family fun activities such as sled racing, snowman building, s’more making, frozen bowling and more!

Specialty eventS
Daddy Daughter Dance (February 18)This popular annual event is hosted at the beautiful Glen Oaks Golf Course. It features an upscale buffet and an evening of dancing for young ladies and their favorite guy.
Audience: 225-275 people

Spring Fling Egg Hunt (April 17)Kids make a mad dash from the starting line to find eggs filled with candy and toys. This event features two sessions, one for the youngest hunters and a flashlight session for the older ones. This popular event typically sells out.
Audience: 700-900 people

Mother-Daughter Tea (March 23)Ladies dress in their Sunday best and spend an afternoon drinking tea and punch, eating light refreshments and playing tea bingo. This multi-generational event is held indoors at Drake Sports Park.
Audience: 40-70 people

Bike Safety Day (May 17)This free event allows children to bring their bikes to Drake Sports Park for safety inspections. They also receive a helmet, safety lesson and giveaways. Police officers are on hand for meet and greets.
Audience: 500-700 people

Go Fish (June 7)Father and sons gather at Marshbank Park Fishing Pier for an evening of fishing games and fun. A picnic dinner is also provided.
Audience: 50-75 people

Dogs Only Swim (August 23)The dogs take over the outdoor pool on the last day of the swim season. Sessions are broken down by weight class and last 30 minutes each.
Audience: 80-100 people

Big Splash (June 14)Summer opening celebration at the Family Aquatic Center Outdoor Pool. Includes games, prizes, food and music for pool patrons.
Audience: 250-300 people

Model Boat Regatta (May 10)We partner with the Michigan Scale Model Boat Club (MSMBC) for an afternoon of fun at the Family Aquatic Center. Attendees get to check out a wide variety of miniature boats as well as pilot them under MSMBC supervision.
Audience: 30-50 people

Camp Out (September 12)Families set up tents in Marshbank Park and enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including hayrides, archery, fishing, s’more making, crafts and more!
Audience: 250-350 people

Trick or Treat Trail (October 24)Children dress up and trick or treat on a safe, 1/2 mile paved trail inside Marshbank Park. Costumed characters, local businesses and organizations hand out goodies.
Audience: 275-375 people

Punt, Pass and Kick (September TBD)This free event allows participants to compete in punting, passing and placekicking against others in their age group. There are five different sessions broken down by age and gender.

Walking Program (various dates)Our Walking program is a free, fun and pleasurable walking activity designed to promote an active lifestyle while enjoying West Bloomfield’s parks. Walks are scheduled from May to July.
