VISION AND PHILOSOPHY OF SCHOOL• Our school is a regional sports secondary school where children gifted at sports and

who are going to become professional sportsmen or specialists in sports, can study and do sport.

• The aim of our school is to provide basic and secondary high-quality education together with sports education which matches to child’s talents and abilities and to raise competetive personality which is able to adapt in modern society.

BASIC INFORMATION OF OUR SCHOOL

• The school was founded in 1961. • The school was reorganised and became Šiauliai Sports secondary school

in 2014 –09 –01.• There are 197 students in our school from Šiauliai and from other parts of

Lithuania.• 91 students live in dormitory• There 36 teachers and 23 coaches at our school.

• Studying process is combined with sports activities

• The project of specialized sports programme is prepared

• Bilateral Comenius project „Culture on Disposals“ (Lithuania-Turkey)

• Multilateral Comenius project „Better to know us through our festivals and popular traditions“ (Lithuania- France- Bulgaria- Spain- Poland-Turkey- Hungary)

• Multilateral Comenius project „Think globally, act locally, act together”. (Lithuania-Turkey-Finland)

• Bilateral Comenius project “Generational link: playing and learning “ (Lithuania-Portugal)

• Šiauliai students’ contest „I am a leader”, in which our students became winners in 2006 , 2008, 2009 , 2010, 2011.

OUR SCHOOL RECORDS

• The biggest cap was created by the students of our school and it was registered in Lithuanian Records Book.
