    IMPORTANTMake sure you arrive at the Exam Location at the Arrival Time listedabove in order to be registered and get the exam instructions prior tothe start of the exam.

    Bring the following items to all exams: GO Card, PEN # (found on yourreport card), pens, pencils, and eraser.

    Bring a Calculator for the Math and Science exams.

    EXAM WRITING TIPS

    BEFORE THE EXAMS

    Get a good nights sleep avoid crammingyour brain will work better if you dont try to cram yourmemory with facts just before an exam. Eat breakfast! Have a snack with protein just before the exam - avoid sugary junk foods like soda

    pop. Be organized the night before:

    o Have all your materials readyincluding your Go card or picture ID, PEN number. Have extrapens, pencils and erasers ready.

    o You need a calculator for Math, Science. Make sure the batteries are fresh. Give yourself extra timebeing rushed adds stress. Remember students will not be admitted one-

    half hour after exams start.

    THE DAY OF THE EXAMS Double check your arrival time. Check that you have all your materials with you (pens, pencils, calculator). Make a bathroom pit stopno bathroom breaks during an exam unless its a dire emergency! Exams

    will be at the designated location (see the schedule). You can bring a water bottle but not any other drink. You may bring tissues if you have a cold. Bring

    a watch. Please leave hats, coats, bags, purses, paper, books, notes, pencil cases, phones, ipods etc. at home

    or in your lockerthese are not permitted at your exam desk or on your person. Dont be late!Remember that any student arriving more than 30 minutes after an exam has started

    will not be permitted to write the examination.

    DURING THE EXAM Remember, time should not be a problem. The exams are designed to be completed in two hours,

    but you can have up to another additional hour (for a total of three hours) to complete them. Students are not permitted to leave the exam room until one and one-half hour after the exam has

    started. You should stay at least two full hours so that you can thoroughly check over your answers. If you get nervoustake deep breathstake a mental break and go back to the exam. Just do your best!
