2014Dear Bowmer Project Participant,

Congratulations on receiving your Pass Plus One (PPO)!

You may use your PPO to obtain tickets for yourself and a guest to any show that is "comping" during the 2014 season!

We recommend stapling or taping your PPO to this page for easy access. You will need your PPO each time you make reservations and pick up tickets from the Box Office, so it’s important not to lose it!

The following pages include important details about using your PPO. Read on, and welcome to the BowPro!

Sincerely,The OSF Education team

What is "comping"?

"Comping" comes from the word "complimentary," and is the term we use when free tickets are available to OSF company members.

Based on how many tickets are pre-sold, each week the OSF Box Office determines which performances are comping, and we share that info with you!

Comping privileges are typically reserved for OSF company members only, but as a BowPro participant, you enjoy the same benefits–only better! While company members have a limit on their total number of comps, you can use your PPO for as many shows as you can fit in this season!

How do I know if a show is comping?

There are three easy ways to check on comp availability for the week:

Email - Each week the OSF Box Office will email you when the BowPro Availability web page is updated. Follow the link to view which performances are comping for the week.

Facebook - We’ll post weekly updates to the BowPro Facebook group. This is a closed group only for BowPro participants. Email [email protected] to be invited to join.

Phone - Call the OSF Box Office, identify yourself as a BowPro student and ask if any shows are comping that week (or day). Our friendly Box Office staff is there to help! Se habla español.

How do I reserve tickets?

1. Check which shows are comping for the week using one of the three methods listed on the previous page.

2. Select a performance to attend as well as a backup in case tickets are no longer available for your first choice. Remember, tickets are limited and reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis, and the Box Office reserves the right to change a show’s comp status at any time.

3. Call the OSF Box Office and identify yourself as a BowPro student. Let them know which performance you’d like to attend and how many tickets you need. Be sure to have your account number ready (located on your PPO).

Note: Reservations must be made by a BowPro student. Requests from friends, family or teachers will not be accepted.

Where do I pick up my tickets?

You can pick up your tickets on the day of the show in the OSF Box Office at the window labeled Will Call.

Please pick up your tickets no later than 30 minutes before the show begins. Most matinees* start at 1:30 p.m. and evening performances at 8:00 p.m., but you should always double check show start times in your season brochure or on the OSF website.

*Matinees for The Great Society start at 1:00 p.m.

Your tickets must be picked up by you. We will not issue PPO tickets to anyone other than a BowPro student, and the Box Office will ask to see your PPO before issuing your tickets.

Remember: tickets will not be issued without your PPO.

What if I need to cancel my tickets?

If you need to cancel your tickets, please call the OSF Box Office as soon as possible, and no later than one hour prior to show time.

If you do not notify the Box Office and fail to pick up your tickets, your PPO privileges will be permanently revoked. Don’t let it happen to you!

What happens if I lose my PPO?

Contact Jay Shepherd if your PPO goes missing (see contact info on the next page). A new PPO will be mailed to your home address unless special arrangements are made with Jay. You will not be able to reserve tickets until your replacement pass arrives.
