Debuted in 16 Delaware high schools in the 2005-2006 academic year.

Designed to work hand in hand with Driver Ed, Highway Safety and parents to create safer, smarter drivers.

A free, online certified defensive driving course offered in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania through schools and community partners features videos, games, and Q & A. Designed to complement -- not replace --driver education and parent training.

The “hands on” component taught by driving professionals such as police officers, SmartSkills teaches young drivers collision avoidance, parallel parking, and skid control.

Prom and Graduation programs• Drive Smart Don’t Break Your Mama’s Heart

• A Valentine’s event in which students sign and wear red hearts pledging to “Drive Smart”

• DWI – Driving with Intelligence• Forty minute assembly/workshop including law

enforcement presentation and hands on activity. DWI addresses timely issues such as DUI, speeding, distracted driving, and drowsy driving.

• Pre-prom Assemblies • Customized for each school’s unique needs

• SmartDrive PROMise• Students sign the PROMise to drive safely, wear

seatbelts, never drive impaired or distracted during Prom and Graduation.

• Schools with the highest percentage of responses win Prom or After Prom money
