OUR MISSION:The Alfred & Adele Davis Academy, an accredited Reform Jewish Day School, provides an academically challenging environment with enriched curricula, integrating general academics and Judaic studies from Mechina: Kindergarten Prep through Eighth Grade. In a nurturing, secure environment, instructed by a faculty dedicated to excellence, children are encouraged to reach their highest potential. The Davis Academy strives to create a community in which children develop a life-long love for learning and commitment to Jewish life founded on morals, values, and ethics, grounded in Torah.

Smiling faces, just like the ones pictured on the cover of this report, are our inspiration here at The Davis Academy. Children actively and happily engaged in learning and discovery. Those

smiles are all the motivation we need to seek new ways to keep the bar high for students. The pages of this 2014-2015 Annual Donor Report show exactly how we keep those smiles coming, for it is you, our supporters, who have made this a truly successful year:

• We concluded a highly successful Davis Fund Campaign, our most important fundraiser, that included 94% parent participation and 100% faculty and staff participation, as well as 100% board participation.

• For the first time ever, we asked our alumni for their support. Many in this special part of our Davis family, now ranging in ages from 15 – 29 years old, responded generously. We know alumni support will grow in years to come. As they mature, many are now more fully realizing the gift of their Davis Academy education.

• We exceeded our goal for ALEF Fund contributions, the Georgia state program which allows individuals to re-direct their tax dollars for scholarships to independent schools like The Davis Academy. However, given the widespread popularity of this program now, the state cap was reached and participant contributions were pro-rated.

• In March, we put on a Community Celebration party that brought about some grown up smiles as we celebrated our entire community, recognized deserving honorees, Barbara and Marty Pollock, and raised important funds for our school.

• In April, we hosted a fantastic turnout for The Davis Academy’s 17th Annual Golf Tournament. It was a great day of golf at a brand new venue, The Atlanta Athletic Club, where we also noticed more than a few smiles. Thanks to our many community sponsors and players, it was also a successful day for our school.

• And before we ended the school year, we ceremoniously opened the gate to the new Outdoor Nature Sanctuary. It’s an exceptionally beautiful and unique environment created for the enjoyment and inspiration of our entire community, made possible by the generosity of many, including those who gave to last year’s Science and Technology Initiative.

We end with a simple but sincere thank you to all the names within these pages – those who gave to support this incredible school. Now watch for the smiles as we open the doors for the next school year!

The 2015 Davis Academy Community Celebration was held at The Temple on March 28 honoring long-time Davis grandparents and supporters, Barbara and Marty Pollock. It was a festive

Library Book ProgramIn celebration of birthdays and other important occasions, over 300 new books were purchased for the Sylvia G. Breman Library and the Edward H.
