  • I have compiled a list of high-utility words that are frequently used in writing. Many of the words are seen more than once through the spelling lists. Each Friday, the students will be given a spelling pretest of 20 words. The words that the student misses will be his or her spelling words for the week. If a student makes 100% on the pretest, he or she will not have any spelling words the following week. A 100% will be put in the gradebook for the test. A student will have no more than 10 words in a week for spelling. Spelling tests will be given on Thursdays. Students may use this Powerpoint to study for the PRETEST on Friday. You certainly dont have to! It is optional!
