*Peterson, Andrea, M.L.A. Harvard University;B.A. Bridgewater State University, is currently theAssociate Director for User Support in the AlumniAffairs and Development Office. In this role she isresponsible for the strategic planning and develop-ment of business practices to optimize the utility of theCommon Alumni Affairs and Development supportedapplications. She works with Alumni Relations andDevelopment senior managers to identify and priori-tize key project areas and to define and implementprocesses which will provide data on the effectivenessof alumni engagement and fundraising efforts

*Owens, Antoniya, M.P.P. Harvard University;A.B. Mount Holyoke College, is a Project Directorat the Center for Education Policy Research(CEPR) at Harvard University, where she managesa new research study designed to identify promisingCommon Core implementation strategies. Sheoversees the project timeline, communications withpartner agencies, recruitment of participant schoolsand district, survey development andadministration, data collection and analyses, anddrafting reports with research findings.

*O’Connell, Kathleen, M.A. Pontificia UniversidadCatolica del Peru; B.A. State University of New York,Geneseo, currently works as Placement Specialist andClient Liaison at LASPAU: Academic and ProfessionalPrograms for the Americas. In this role, she works toselect sponsored students from Latin America and theCaribbean and place them in U.S. graduate programs.She also serves as a liaison to clients in Argentina andBolivia and will be working during the coming year tocoordinate the organization’s participation in the NAFSAConference designed for international educators.

*Niles, Regina, B.S. Suffolk University, is currently theFinancial Manager in the Office of Student Life. In this roleshe administers a departmental budget of $10M and guidesthe administration of twelve house budgets. She also assiststhe various Student Life offices in all financial areas,including developing annual budgets, planning strategicallyto optimize funding, supporting quarterly and year-endclosings, performing ad-hoc financial analyses as well asdeveloping effective reporting tools and schedules. Inaddition, she implements training programs for OSL andHouse staff on financial systems, processes and procedures.

*Soriano, Katrina, M.L.A. Harvard University; B.A.University of Massachusetts, Amherst, is currently theAssociate Director of Finance for the Harvard Schoolof Public Health Department of Nutrition. In this role,she oversees the Department’s research administrationand accounts payable teams that support the faculty’sprojects and day-to-day financial operations within theDepartment. In addition, she works with many centralUniversity offices. She also is involved in designingcurriculum and teaching in the University’s REACHcertificate program.

*Mohammed, Ahmed, M.B.A. SouthernNew Hampshire University; and B.S.Northeastern University, is currently theLead Recruitment Services Consultant forHarvard University’s CampusServices/Central Administration. In his role,Ahmed collaborates closely with HiringManagers and Human Resource Consultantsproviding leadership and direction onrecruitment, search strategies and tactics.

*Malik, Bilal, M.Ed., Ed.D, HarvardUniversity; M.B.A., LUMS Graduate School ofBusiness, Lahore, Pakistan; B.A. AmherstCollege, is currently the Acting Allston-BurrResident Dean at Leverett House, HarvardCollege. In this role, he coordinates with theLeverett House Masters, Office of Student Life,Administrative Board, Registrar's Office, andother campus resources, to provide academicand residential support to Leverett's 500+students.

Truong, KimPh.D. University of Pennsylvania; Ed.M.Harvard University; and B.A. Brandies University, is anadjunct lecturer on education at the Harvard GraduateSchool of Education where she co-teaches a course onCritical Race Theory. She conducts research on access andequity issues in higher education, university studentexperiences, and higher education policy. As anAdministrative Fellow, Kim will be collaborating with theHarvard College Women's Center, Harvard Foundation forIntercultural and Race Relations, and Office of BGLTQStudent Life to support diversity, equity, and inclusion effortsat Harvard College.

Williams, Alicia, M.S. Towson University and B.A.Howard University, has 8 years of higher educationexperience, working in enrollment and admissions,communications and marketing, and as an adjunctprofessor. In her placement as an Equity, Diversity,and Inclusion Administrative Fellow, Alicia will be incharge of programming and student support; assistingthe Assistant Dean of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusionalong with each of the multi-cultural offices withprogram development, training, and special projectsrelated to creating an inclusive campus community.

*Chang, Crystal, MPH Tufts UniversitySchool of Medicine and B.S. University ofTexas, Dallas, is the Program Administrator forExecutive & Continuing Professional Education(ECPE) at Harvard School of Public Health.She provides overall program management andexecution for ECPE’s executive programs, bothcustom created for corporations as well as openenrollment programs tailored for executiveprofessionals. She also overseas and managesprogram compliance with CME accreditation.

Counts, Angela, M.F.A NortheasternUniversity and University of Southern California,Los Angeles, CA; B.A. University of SouthernCalifornia, Los Angeles, CA, has worked in theareas of admissions, student services, and studentleadership development. Angela is also a filmand theater director, performance artist, andplaywright. As a fellow with Harvard BusinessSchool’s Leadership Initiative. she will be workingon a series of projects to expand the LeadershipInitiative’s communications and outreach efforts.

Fox, Talia, M.Ed. and B.A. Howard University,is a training and instructional design expert. She isthe Chief Executive Officer of KUSI Training, aSmall/Minority/Woman-Owned Training andConsulting Firm that develops learning and trainingenvironments for diverse industries. She designssolutions to improve leadership and managementskills to increase work and life outcomes. In herplacement at Harvard School of Public HealthOffice of Faculty Affairs, she will support facultysearches, mentoring, and development.

*Haggerty, Andreas, B.S. HarvardUniversity, is currently the Computationaland Simulation Engineer for the School ofEngineering and Applied Science’sUndergraduate Teaching Labs. In his role, heteaches students the use of computer aideddesign and simulation programs aimedprimarily at mechanical engineering. He alsomanages hardware and software in theTeaching Labs space.

*Herndon, Cristina, B.A., Harvard College,is currently Fundraising and DevelopmentSpecialist at LASPAU: Academic and ProfessionalPrograms for the Americas. She is in charge ofdeveloping and implementing fundraising strategy,designing the administrative and operationalstructures to support the new area, and buildingdonor relationships. She also coordinates theorganization’s strategic planning efforts, works onprogram development activities, and serves asClerk of the Corporation to the Board of Trustees.

Ablorh, Tsotso, B.A. Harvard University.At McLean Hospital, Tsotso coached patientswith anxiety disorders and as a mental healthcounselor, taught coping skills to traumasurvivors. In her placement at the Bureau ofStudy Counsel, she develops projects andevents to help students explore their ownviews and challenge dichotomous stereotypesof what it means to be successful.

*Aslanian, John, Ed.M. Boston Universityand B.A. Michigan State University, is theAssistant Director for Student Life andRecruitment at the Harvard Graduate Schoolof Design. He works in both student affairsand admissions-related activities for theHarvard GSD and is a member of the Dean'sDiversity Committee.

*Butt, Muhammad Zubair, M.S. SalemState University; M.A. Harvard Universityand BS Thiel College, is the Data Analyst atCEPR, responsible for implementing the datamanagement strategies such as datacollection, organization, ELT, security, andstorage in this role. Zubair oversees day today technology tier 1 and 2 related issuesprior to joining CEPR.

*Chaudhury, Neel, M.P.A. HarvardKennedy School of Government; B.A. BostonUniversity, is currently an Analyst on theSpecial Projects team in the Office ofFinancial Strategy and Planning (OFSP). Hiswork in OFSP is focused on fundraisingreporting and analytics. He has over 10 yearsof experience in the public and privatesectors.

THE ADMINISTRATIVEFELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

Harvard University's Administrative Fellowship Programseeks to attract talented professionals, and inparticular members of historically underrepresented groups,

to promote leadership opportunities and careers in higher education.In addition, The University encourages applications from individualsfrom all backgrounds and is committed to increasing the “pipeline”of talented individuals and professional opportunities for thoseinterested in careers in higher education and administration. TheAdministrative Fellowship Program offers a twelve-monthmanagement experience complemented by a professionaldevelopment program. In particular, the Program providesparticipants with opportunities to enhance their professionalexperiences by both working within an academic environment as amid-level administrator and working in an area that broadens anddeepens previous opportunities. In the end, the Program seeks toenrich and diversify the field of higher education and the Harvardcommunity by increasing the pool of trained administrators with moreindividuals drawn from historically underrepresented ethnic groups.

Now in its twenty-fifth year of operation, the Program drawsdistinguished Fellows from business, government, education, and theprofessions. Each participant receives a salary with all costs for therequired educational seminar series covered by the University.However, participants must secure and cover the cost of theirhousing. Fellows will participate in a seminar series in addition to afull-time work assignment. Seminars, lectures, and case studies havebeen designed to enhance management and administrative skills andto assist in self-assessment and development. The overall goal of theeducation program is to encourage Fellows to assess their own careerdevelopment and to generate strategies for advancement.

The 2015-16 Program will begin in September. Reflecting theacademic and administrative diversity of the Harvard community,assignments for each Fellow will differ. The Fellows will be placedin various schools and departments throughout the University.However, individual fellowship needs will be shaped by consideringboth the school's or department's needs as well as the participant'scareer experience. Fellows are strongly urged to obtain leaves ofabsence from their current jobs. While the University will make everyeffort to place successful participants, there is no guarantee ofpermanent Harvard employment upon completion of the Program.

Harvard University’s Administrative Fellowship Program providesselect participants from varied backgrounds with rich opportunities tobroaden and enhance their management experience and professionalskills by working within Harvard’s dynamic academic environment.This unique management and professional development programseeks to enrich and diversify the field of higher education andHarvard’s community of talented administrators.

*Jarvis, Francisca, B.A. Boston College,currently serves as the Associate Director ofEvents, External Relations at HarvardBusiness School. In this role, she manages aseries of signature alumni engagement,stewardship and recognition events designedto improve alumni engagement and increasesupport for development and the capitalcampaign.

*Lee, Julie, Ph.D., Suffolk University; Ed.M., HarvardGraduate School of Education and B.A. WellesleyCollege, has been committed to the issues of equity,access and success for students and has worked invarious capacities in high education administration. As anAdministrative Fellow, Julie works as a counselor in theBureau of Study Counsel where she provides academicsupport to students through individual consultation andworkshops. She is a member of Board of FreshmenAdvisors, a program developer for Success and FailureProject, a liaison to Lowell House and Oak Yards.

*Maginn, Nora, Ed.M. Harvard Universityand B.A. Union College, has been with theHarvard University South Asia Institute since2011, and is currently the Program Manager. Inthis role, she manages the faculty and studentgrant programs, a visiting fellows program, andorganizes events, including seminars,webinars, workshops, and conferences, atHarvard and in South Asia. She is a member ofthe Harvard Board of Freshman Advisers.

*Lee, Jennifer, DPT NortheasternUniversity; M.S. Simmons College; and B.S.The University of Western Ontario, is aphysical therapist at Harvard UniversityHealth Services. She evaluates and treatsstudents, as well as faculty, staff, retirees andtheir families who belong to the HarvardUniversity Group Health Plan.
