    Summary of Changes

FA4 High 1 General changes The scope of this revision was to update the currency course material to standards, restructure some of the module notes, restructure the assignments, and introduce a pilot assignment.

Assessments A new structure of assignment was introduced this year: Two of the previous years Assignments 1 were restructured and updated for financial statements currency and changes in standards. The new versions of Assignments 1, with the questions scrambled from one version to the other, were then used in each of the 4 sessions. The same process was applied to Assignment 2 in each of the four sessions. Assignment 3 in each session is a past exam converted into an assignment worth 50 marks, including the multiple-choice questions. Two past exams were selected for conversion. The final versions are used alternatively: one version in sessions 1 and 3, and the second version in sessions 2 and 4. The past exams went through the following process:

o Updated for standard changes. o Solutions were converted to a form/format similar to that which markers are used to seeing in the course material. o Notes to markers were elaborated for clarity. o Any questions testing material from Module 10 were replaced/deleted. o The ethics case from the original (2012-13) Assignment 3 was re-instated. o Ensured the level of complexity was comparable to an actual exam. o Questions that could not be updated due to radical changes in standards were replaced. o The terminology used was updated. o Marks allotted were scaled down to 50.

The marking structure of each assignment remained the same as it was in 2012-13: assignment 1, 50 marks; assignment 2, 100 marks; assignment 3, 50 marks. All quizzes were updated for changes in standards and terminology.

Course-specific changes Module notes: Updated their currency by including the changes in standards, and updated the terminology used. Modules 1 and 2: Restructured topics and included Levels 2 and 3 content coverage. Module 6:
