Beauty contest “Miss Snow Universe” was participated by 20 contestants from “snow”

cities of Russia. The winner got a contract with Noah Models Agency of Russia, and the

right to represent Russia at the international contest "Miss Tourism World" in summer 2013.

“World Snow Sculpture Competition” united 17 teams of snow sculptors which created

mascots of Winter Olympics from snow, including the mascots of the forthcoming

Olympic Games in Sochi - 2014. The team from Moldova, which made a mascot of

hare, belonging to Sochi - 2014 mascots, won the competition.

• The Charter of the World Snow Forum was adopted;

• The agreement on cooperation in the field of ecology was signed between

the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the

Novosibirsk region and the Ministry of Forestry, Environment and Ecology

of the Ulyanovsk region;

• More than 8500 publications about the World Snow Forum in regional,

federal and international mass media.

creating comfortable conditions for livable winter cities on snow territories”

Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the

Novosibirsk region and the Ministry of Forestry, Environment and Ecology of

the Ulyanovsk region signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of

ecology that will enable these two regions to cooperate more effectively in

maintaining the ecological balance of the snow territories and strengthen

interregional relations in general.
