Kilroy/ChillOut 8 november 2012

It took us 56 hours of constant driving, from Amol, Iran, trough Turkmenistan, to the border of Uzbekistan..

… to get out of Turkmenistan in time before the ending of the visa.

But some places was more unique than others..

Kilroy/ChillOut 8 november 2012

Todays menu? OK – so with 2 chefs and one food blogger, our objective was not

nutrition or rations, but rather different flavours and often a bottle of wine and assorted tea.

Kilroy/ChillOut 8 november 2012

We stocked up car accessories from Torshov bilrekvisita!

just checking …..

Kilroy/ChillOut 8 november 2012

But we ended up getting all the way to the Gobi desert before we had our first, AND last flat tire.

(Eehm…. it was quite flat, even girls would say that.)

Kilroy/ChillOut 8 november 2012

And after 5 days crossing the Gobi desertWe arrived at The Final destination – The Goal

Ulan Bator and The Finish line!

Kilroy/ChillOut 8 november 2012

In a car, with 3 seats and two hospital beds,

we drove over 1/3 of the earth's surface, through 19 nations.

“And now, from this Monday on, our Norwegian ambulance will do its duty in the

steppes of Mongolia.”

Kilroy/ChillOut 8 november 2012

Thanks to Go Help for maintaining the ambulance in Ulan Bator. And thanks to all of our helpers, sponsors and joyful travelers whom have been a part of this travel and/ or charity rally.

Kilroy/ChillOut 8 november 2012

We have collected and donated 23 146 $ (128,000 NOK) in addition to a 2006 Ford

Transit ambulance.

• A British organization (NGO) working on humanitarian projects in Mongolia

• Organizes annual charity rallies• They have an ambulance project in Mongolia:

ambulances coming are maintained by Go Help, and not by the user.

Kilroy/ChillOut 8 november 2012

Flouregin future (NGO) They run a community center (soon two), where they provide families in the neighborhood to participate in activities, pick up monthly rationed food and coal.

They work with education for children, food program and other activities that gives a better life to many people around them.

Kilroy/ChillOut 8 november 2012

A Chance to Dream Again (NGO)They bought a plot of land, animals, and a ger (tent), where they plan to build an orphanage or children's center. They might start with a daycare, so that mothers can work and earn money for the family. Due to poverty and alcoholism there is a tremendous need for caretakers.
