 News Release Trinity Presbyterian Church announces 5K Run/Walk Event To Co nti nue t he 150 t h  A nni ve r sa r y C e le b r a t i o ns (Berwyn, PA) Trinity Presbyterian Church of Berwyn recentl y announced the date for its fourth 5K Run/Walk and Pancake Breakfast  to continue celebrating its 150th Anniversary which was observed on January 4, 2013. The community event is scheduled for Saturday, November 2nd at 9:00 AM and is open to the public. The church created this event four y ears ago to commence its 150 th  Anniversary celebrations and to bring awareness about our Church and its involvement in supporting the local and international community. Last year the event drew more than 130 participants with ages ranging from 2 to 77, involved in running and walking through the neighborhoods and rolling hills of Berwyn, and enjoying the community of fellow runners, walkers, and families during the pancake breakfast. The 5K (3.1 mile) Run/Walk begins at 9 AM at the church parking lot, winds through the village of Berwyn, and ends at the church. The event is followed by a fr ee pancake breakfast with music provided  by Ward and McClee. Participants can register for the event at the church or online at www.berwyntrinity5K.org . Deadline for online regi stration i s Thursday, October 31 2013. However,  participants can register on site starting at 7:45 AM on race day. Registration fee per runner/walker is $25.00, $30.00 on race day. Registration includes long sleeve wicking T- shirts (guaranteed to all who sign up by October 27th) and a Pancake Breakfast. There will be an awards ceremony in Fellowship Hall in the church at 10:30 AM to recognize runners/walkers at various levels of participation. $75 cash prizes for f irst place male and female winners, and commemorative medals for male and female age group winners in 8 categories.

Trinity’s long-term goal during the three year 150th Anniversary Celebration is to strengthen communityinvolvement, locally and world-wide. Its mission statement is:

to commemorate the church’s anniversary while celebrating our being a family community or faith and fellowship;

to rededicate its presence in the Village of Berwyn while enhancing its facilities and outreach;

to expand Trinity’s integral role in Christ’s mission throughout the world. 

Proceeds from this event will go toward local and international community outreach projects.
