11th Annual “Be a Player Not a Prospect” Winter Baseball Camp December 26 & 27, 2013 MIKE ZUNICA Coach Mike Zunica is currently entering his 1 8 th season as head baseball coach at St. Rita High School. While at St. Rita, Coach Zunica has amassed an overall record of 4 9 4-1 6 4. During his tenure, he has lead the Mustangs to 1 2 re- gional championships, 4 sectional championships, 4 super-sectional cham- pionships, and 10 Elite 8 appear - ances, including summer state cham- pionships in 2005, 2009, 2013 and a 2nd place finish in both the spring of 2009 and 2010. Coach Zunica has brought a very aggressive brand of baseball to St. Rita. With that he has also brought with him a tremendous knowledge of the game, having had the opportunity in his career to work with such people as Pat Murphy (former baseball coach Arizona State University), Rick Downs (former hitting coach of the New York Yankees), Alan Dunn (current pitching coach for LSU), Ron Coomer (former infielder for the Cubs, Dodgers, Twins, and Yankees), and John Cangelosi (former outfielder for the White Sox and a member of the 1997 World Champion Florida Marlins). Coach Zunica has sent 139 players on to compete collegiately and 12 players on to play professionally. CAMP OVERVIEW The camp will be fast-moving and highly informative and will cover the following areas in depth: Hitting (mechanics, mental approach and off season and in-season drills), Fielding (technique and fundamentals), Baserunning (technique and mental approach), Pitching and Throwing Mechanics and a Speed Training Session . The camp will be geared to the individual camper’s needs as much as possible. GENERAL INFORMATION The camp will be divided into two groups. The first group will be open to individuals who are currently in 4th, 5th & 6th grades. The second group will be open to individuals in the 7th and 8th grades. Additional instructors and guest speakers will also be on hand. For any other camp related questions call Mike Zunica at 708-289- 8801. From 1994-2005, he spent 5 years with the Brewer’s organization and 5 years coaching and managing in independent pro ball. RC has spent the last 8 years with the Tampa Bay Rays as a minor league pitching coach. For the 2012 season, he coached the Montgomery Biscuits, the Rays’ AA affiliate. During his tenure with the Rays he has, so far, coached David Price, Wade Davis, Jeremy Hellickson, Jake McGee, Matt Moore, and Andy Sonnanstine. In addition to his regular season responsibilities, RC worked in winter ball in Venezuela in 2008 as a pitching coordinator and, following the 2009 season, he represented the Rays organization as a pitching coach in the Arizona Fall League. During this time in Arizona, he led a staff including the Washington Nationals’ prospects Stephen Strasburg and Drew Storen. RC has been doing private lessons for 20+ years for pitchers, catchers, and hitters. 2013 will be RC’s 19th

season coaching in pro ball. From 1994-2005, he spent 5 years with the Brewer’s organization and 5 years coaching and managing in independent pro ball.

INSURANCE INFORMATION

WHAT IS COVERED

The insurance plan pays the medical expensesactually incurred by a participant when an accidentalinjury occurs while participating in covered activitiesof the insured camp or clinic. This coverage is excesscoverage and begins after the exhaustion of all othercoverages for which the participant may be eligible.

BENEFITS FOR PARTICIPANTS

$25,000 Participant Medical Expense,Payment Coverage,subject to a $100 deductible

$1,000 Medical Expense Reimbursementfor Participants

PARTICIPANT MEDICAL EXPENSEPAYMENT COVERAGE

Expenses payable under this coverage are forexpenses actually incurred by the participant within104 weeks after the date of the accident when aninjury shall require treatment by a legally qualifiedmedical physician, dentist or surgeon, confinementin a hospital or an X-ray examination.

Covered Expenses will be determined on an excessbasis over and above any other valid and collectiblecoverage for which an insured person may beeligible. In the absence of any other coverage, thiscoverage will provide primary coverage benefitssubject to coverage limits and exclusions. CoveredExpenses are subject to a $100 per claim deductible.
