Executive Summary: Global Sporting Integration (GSI) presents our 2013 player guide for Asian professional

Norichika Aoki is the starting right fielder with the Milwaukee Brewers. A native of Hyuga, Japan,
came to MLB via the international Posting System after his NPB team, the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, posted
him following the 2011 season. The Brewers submitted the winning bid of $2.5 million for the exclusive
right to negotiate with Aoki and signed him to a two-year deal on January 17, 2012.

Yu Darvish is a right handed starting pitcher with the Texas Rangers. A native of Habikino, Japan,
came to MLB via the international Posting System after his NPB team, the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters,

Hisashi Iwakuma is a right handed starting pitcher with the Seattle Mariners. A native of Tokyo,
Japan, initially attempted to come to MLB via the international Posting System in October 2010, when he
was posted by his NPB team, the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. The Oakland Athletics submitted the
winning bid of $19.1 million for the exclusive right to negotiate with him. Iwakuma and the Athletics failed
to agree to terms on a contract within the 30-day negotiating period, resulting in his return to NPB. He
became a free agent after the 2011 season, and signed a one-year deal with the Mariners on January 5, 2012.

South Korea, came to MLB via the international Posting System after his KBO team, the Hanwha Eagles,
posted him following the 2012 season. The Dodgers submitted the winning bid of $25.7 million for the
