How can you Work Out Loud? Follow five simple steps to own your safety...
Prep it! Come to work...prepared to be safe.
Say it! Speak up...ask all the questions you need to stay safe.
Know it! Understand your legal rights and responsibilities at work.
Spot it! Be on the lookout for workplace hazards.
Own it! Take responsibility for your own safety. Do what you can to keep yourself safe.

Prep it!
Come to work...prepared to be safe.
Preparing for anything before you do it helps you to be better at it.
The same can be said about workplace safety. Once you make up your mind to stay safe in the workplace, there are things you can do to prepare to be safe.
Planning ahead to be safe in your workplace is one way to work out loud. When it comes to workplace safety, prep it!

Say it!
Speak up...ask all the questions you need to stay safe.
If you feel uncomfortable or uncertain about anything in the workplace, speak up. Ask questions. It is your right.
You have the power and the voice to help protect your health and safety at work. Speaking up in your workplace is one way to work out loud.

Understand your legal rights and responsibilities at work.

Spot it!
Be on the lookout for workplace hazards.
A hazard is any situation with the potential to cause injury or illness.
There are hazards in every workplace and learning how to recognize them will help you stay safe and prevent workplace injuries. This is one way you can work out loud.
Think about the types of hazards that may exist in your current workplace, and ask yourself the question, "What could happen if . . . ?" The answer may be scary.
When it comes to workplace safety hazards, spot it!

Do what you can to keep yourself safe.
Working out loud is the responsible thing to do. It ensures that you stay healthy and safe and able to enjoy all the important parts of your life ... having fun with friends, spending time with family, finishing school, and moving on to other jobs when you're ready for new challenges.
