Today’s theme is connect. What does connect mean to you? Today’s World Congress meetings, events and closing Gala will answer this question and more as Congress delegates work toward

connecting young active citizens locally and globally. The 2014 JCI Board of Directors discusses how to best connect their members, resources and knowledge for the upcoming year. Attend the

community engagement project to connect with Rio de Janeiro’s community leaders and help them solve their greatest challenges. This evening, the Presidential Inauguration and Gala connects each Congress delegate, partner and guest one final time to celebrate the accomplishments of Rio and launch into an exciting new year. Use each activity and experience today to think more about how JCI

will connect people, their communities and the global society.

JCI World Congress Concludes Connecting Active Citizens Worldwide

Hosted by 2010 JCI President Roland Kwemain, delegates fill the room for the first ever JCI TOYP Workshop: Collaborating for Impact. Each TOYP Honoree shares their story of impact as related to one of the three stages of community development outlined by the JCI Active Citizen Framework.

Cheers, chants and dancing make this year’s Spotlight JCI competition quite the exciting scene. Two team captains from each Area compete for Spotlight JCI champions in the JCI World Congress meeting of the minds.

Announcements at General Assembly III, Appointments, allow the new 2014 JCI Board of Directors to learn their assigned countries and start to plan their travels for the upcoming year. Congratulations to JCI President Elect Shine Bhaskaran’s new team of appointees for 2014.
