Wednesday, April 24, 2013 Technical Workshop: Detection-Control System 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM Detection-Control System (D CS) is a dilemma zone protection technology developed by the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) for isolated, rural, high speed signalized intersections.
Technical Tour: Bay Bridge Tour 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM The tour of the Bay Bridge will begin at the Bay Bridge Police Headquarters Building, 881 Oceanic Drive, Annapolis, MD 21409 (Shuttle from the hotel). We will also, weather permitting, walk down to the dry-dock area for a view of the underside of the bridge and some of the equipment used for maintenance. Contact Jim Schroll ([email protected]) at (410) 222-7331 for more information.
Welcome Reception: Gordon Biersch Brewery 1906 Towne Centre Boulevard Annapolis, MD 21401
6:00 PM Inspired by the Reinheitsgebot of 1516, the Gordon Biersch experience rests upon the foundations of purity, simplicity and precision. This philosophy is most recognizable in our selection of authentic German lagers; each crafted on-site using only malted barley, hops, yeast and pure, filtered water. Bring your appetite because appetizers will be provided and, it’s only 1/3 of a mile from the hotel.
Thursday, April 25, 2013 Traffic Bowl: YellowFin Steak & Fish House 2840 Solomons Island Road Edgewater, MD 21037
6:00 PM Transportation will be provided via a shuttle bus running a loop between the hotel and the YellowFin Steak & Fish House beginning at 5:30 PM and ending at 9:00 PM (last shuttle home). Hearty appetizers and a cash bar will be provided, with one free drink ticket for each attendee. The evening's entertainment will begin by 7:00 PM with the collegiate traffic bowl, featuring 3-person student teams in a head-to-head competition for the chance to represent the Mid-Colonial District at the ITE Collegiate Traffic Bowl competition at the 2013 ITE Annual Meeting and Exhibit.
Friday, April 26, 2013 Technical Tour: Harbor Queen Boat Tour www.cruisesonthebay.com
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Annapolis Harbor and United States Naval Academy Cruise aboard Harbor Queen. A must-do Annapolis activity! Step aboard Harbor Queen for a narrated cruise of historic Annapolis Harbor and the banks of the U.S. Naval Academy. Enjoy getting on the water and catching a glimpse of the Bay Bridges. This 40-minute cruise is the perfect introduction to Annapolis. A hotel shuttle with limited space will be provided for transportation. Contact Zach Freedman ([email protected]) at (443) 741-3669 for more information.
