Your Farm Bureau organization is the voice of agriculture at the lo-cal, state and national level. Your

supply and a strong economic base for our nation. Georgia Farm Bureau serves over 300,000 member fami-lies through 158 county Farm Bureau offices. Since its begin-nings in 1937, Georgia Farm Bureau has continued to expand and improve services for members. In the early years, members were almost exclusively farmers, and Farm Bureau continues to be the largest voluntary farm organization in Georgia. Today’s membership includes Georgians from all walks of life, and service and benefit programs have been added to bring increased membership value to all members. Georgia FarM bureau is Georgia’s largest and strongest volun-tary agricultural organization with over 300,000 members. It is an independent, non-governmental organization. The mem-

bership is composed of members who want Georgia to be agricultur-ally successful, progressive and prosperous. Formed in 1937 by 50 farmers, Georgia Farm Bureau continues to have a strong grassroots network with 158 county Farm Bureau organizations. CoMModity advisory CoMMittees represent 20 major commodities produced in Georgia. The purpose of each committee is to develop communication among Farm Bureau mem-bers and to serve in an advisory capacity for the president, board of directors and staff. Advisory committees help develop policy as it relates to specific commodities and issues that affect produc-er’s livelihood.
