GROWING EVERYDAY IN GODGROWING EVERYDAY IN GOD

DeSoto Memorial Hospital FoundationA Lasting Commitment to the Health of our Community

Generations of Giving For many generations, the commu-nity has been the strength of DeSoto Memorial Hospital. The extraordi-nary support began almost a centu-ry ago when a dedicated commu-nity physician built the fi rst facility to care for seriously ill patients. In 1920, members of the community combined their resources to expand the original facility and establish a hospital. The community and its leaders took a courageous step in the 1960s, by replacing the older facility with a modern hospital. And again in the mid ’80s, the community was the force behind the million-dollar renovation that created one of rural Florida’s most effi cient community hospitals. Through years of growth and generations of giving, DeSoto Memorial Hospital refl ects the com-munity’s determination to support the hospital’s effort to provide ex-ceptional healthcare.

Providing for the FutureToday, we have the opportunity to build on the community’s tradition of giving and guarantee future gen-erations the high quality medical care they deserve. By supporting the Foundation with charitable contri-butions, DeSoto Memorial Hospital can grow as a full service health-care facility, providing state-of-the-art technology and equipment in a comfortable setting that patients and their family members will appreci-ate. Please consider a generous gift/

investment to the Hospital Founda-tion. Your donation will help secure quality healthcare for the future.

Ensuring ExcellenceThe DeSoto Memorial Hospital Foundation was established in Jan-uary 2001 in an effort to continue providing excellent health care in the 21st century. The organization is designed to help ensure the hos-pital has the resources to continue serving the community with the latest medical technology and ser-vices available. The Foundation will also provide important information about the hospital’s progress to the community it serves.
